[Tutorial]how to connect psp to pc with no usb cable

Post by Ragin Raiden »

In this tutorial i will teach you how to connect a psp to pc without an usb cable.
we will be making an ftp server to connect the psp to pc

1.Download FileZilla from here http://filezilla-project.org/

you will see two buttons like this
Image
select the one on the left, then the download page will appear

2.select an version for your OS(im on windows so,im chose the on the second one(portable),the first one is an installer,i think)
this should be the window with the download options
Image

3.Download your File, then save to desired location(mine is user)
optional:extract files,if running portable version,if not install.
now to the psp part.
search around for pspftpd or download it from afrothunder's hbstore,it's on the applications section
Download link http://www.sendspace.com/file/0sn7iu

If you extracted the files already, there Should be a folder named "FileZilla-3.4.0" open it,then open "filezilla.exe"
if not extract them THEN do part 3

4.now filezilla will open,it looks like this
Image

the ftp server is now running, open psp ftpd on your psp now

this is psp ftpd's eboot
Image

5.open it,now select your wifi connection then a screen like this should appear
Image

on the top right of the screen
i should say "FTP Server is now running on ftp://xxx.xxx.x.x/
(x means your ftp number)
Back to the computer!

6.on the top of the screen there's some login bars, write on host name your ftp number,on username write something and on password too. then click the "quick connect" button.
your connected now without an usb cable just wifi!

You just made a pc to psp connection trough ftp
try sending something to the psp or back to the computer, good luck!

nice tut ... but are u sure u need fileszilla?

i mean i use something much like this and i just enter "ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" in my windows explorer and do whatever i need to do that way (kinda like havin a usb cable connected), and im pretty sure u can do the same! ;)

edit: ... lol, i think u forgot to add a link to ftpd too, but heres something thatll do exactly the same and i have been using this on my pspGO TN-D/E : http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1028

im not sure i know what you mean by that .. also this was a while ago, and i was using vista on the pc that i connected to the psp, im guessing you got windows 7?

it dosnt really matter tho, eventually you will think its annoying and just use a usb cable instead for obvius resons (like this is exstreemly slow and many times data will get lost during transfers becourse of the slow speed)
