Downgrading PS VITA using Charles Proxy?
Is it possible to downgrade our firmware using this software? Like editing the xml files, host and paths and using a downloaded OFW to push in the ps vita?

The Vita checks the firmware version, and compares it to the one already installed. If the firmware version is equal to or less than the version of the one installed, it will not install the new firmware.
This number cannot be changed because the updates are signed, and modification would break this signature.

It would be painfully stupid by Sony to allow such a way to downgrade the Vita
But on the other hand we know how stupid companies can be regarding security measures (see 10 days of hacking series
)

Re: Downgrading PS VITA using Charles Proxy?
What if you choose to update your ps vita and use charles proxy to replace the updat.pup file with a lower firmware version and it downloads the replaced updat.pup file that you choose thorugh map local,just like the way you can download any game on ps3 store and replace it with a different pkg file via charles proxy for the vita.
Do you think it's possible? Has anyone attempted this ?

Even if you got it to download and prompt, as soon as it starts trying to install it, it'll fail. People have tried.

Best you can do is reinstall current firmware.
