CFW/LCFW Battery life

Have searched the forums but didn't find any info on this so my question is:

how does OFW's battery life compare to CFW's battery life? I believe I read somewhere Custom Firmware's battery life is not as good as OFW's. In that case I'd have to reconsider

Um, there's little difference, if any difference at all.

It mostly depends on what clock speed you use. 333mhz is the fastest, but it will kill your battery in about an hour.

I Would Say That CFW Has A Better Battery Life Than OFW Just Use Pro,Set XMB To 222mhz And Game To 266mhz Set The ISO Driver To Inferno And Turn Memory Stick Speed-up To Always. Than Your PSP Will Work Fast And Not Use So Much Battery Life!

It also depends if your running plugins, the more plugins the lesser your battery will last. Also me and other members have experienced a certain decrease in battery when using PRO(It was an old version B5 I think, and no I didn't have plugins activated), but I think its fixed in the newer versions.

I remember these topics a while ago,it was about B5 every one was flaming Pro for its Battery use.
So i went to the source(Coldbird) and asked him about the problem,he was gave a LOL,and said something like
"The power control is run from OFW modules,Pro doesnt even try to control it"
So unless you have 10 VSH plugins running,20 in GAME,and clock set to 333 for everything your battery Should last the same as normal

I found when i needed to save power having pro was alot better then OFW,Bright3 plug in,been able to drop the game clock all made for a better battery.
