Awesome. I wonder is it possible to use 3D acceleration on the Vita, with bilinear filtering, like on PSP Quake 1? I think it would help performance and resolution, too.

Rinnegatamante, you are my hero! :D

Ever since I saw you release the original VitaQuake I've been thinking that the Vita would be able to handle Quake 2. I was actually inspired by your VitaQuake port to try tackling it myself but it turned out to be much too complicated for me. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks! (Also, if you could get the expansions working that would be phenomenal. No pressure though)

As a side note for anyone playing, you can copy the entire 'video' folder from the baseq2 folder of a vanilla Quake 2 installation into the baseq2 folder on your Vita to get all of the game's cinematics to run (including the classic id logo intro) ;)

Minor update for vitaQuakeII.

That was ready since 27th of June. I wanted to add more stuffs before release but due to recent harassment i'm receiving for free in the last days, i'm starting considering dropping the scene at all and so i'm releasing what i already have ready.

Changelog:
- Rescaler now works as inteded. Before it didn't really change the in-game resolution.
- Now rescaler won't cause random crashes anymore.
- Now closing the homebrew from the Exit voice won't cause a crash anymore.
- Adjusted standard camera sensibility.
- Fixed camera sensibility option in Options menu to make it more flexible.
- Adjusted Options menu renaming some voices and removing others that didn't do anything on the Vita port.

Love your releases! Don't leave the scene! Don't let a few rotten apples scare you away from what I think is the best scene around!

I don't know what happened but I hope you choose to stay. You're one of the few people interested in working on porting the classic FPS games. You have a lot of potential, like said above, don't leave because of a few select people. I hope all works out for you.

It's not up to me.
When someone that should be neutral starts to shittalk on you cause you received a gift and wanted to thank who sent you that gift, you lose your motivation to work on updated or new stuffs.
Why should i spend my spare time to get publicly insulted on websites that are supposed to be neutrals?

With that being said, it's fairly simple, if in a couple of days the **** that had been thrown on me via such websites is still online, i'm done with Vita scene.

Vita scene will lose:
- a vitasdk contributor ( https://github.com/vitasdk/vita-headers ... ntributors )
- VitaDB updates ( https://vitadb.rinnegatamante.it )
- new homebrews/plugins/updates from me ( http://vitadb.rinnegatamante.it/#/user/Rinnegatamante )
- new updates and support for lpp-vita (conseguence is that devs actually using it will have an hard time) ( https://github.com/Rinnegatamante/lpp-vita )

Take this as an ultimatum. I'm a developer and don't want to be involved in *** forum wars. Already had a DM session with Wololo and seems like he's the online one mature enough to understand what's the point when someone wants to be grateful for a donation.

This coming from the same guy who blocked me on both IRC and Twitter because after he crapped on my preference of using Unity, I discredited his "evidence" based on the time stamp of the "issue" that he provided with counter evidence of the Unity team fixing that specific issue.
Furthermore, I have been following the other aspects of his "drama" that he is claiming here, and one of the points was "stolen" work, despite him making a tweet pointing out that he wouldn't take the time to validate theft (in English for those who are confused, basically he made an accusation of stolen code without substantial evidence that it was indeed stolen).

Ultimately, this is a shame.
First off, I defended this man many times in the past, before I ever got to know him.
Secondly, he is a really talented coder, and has impressed me on many levels over the course of the Vita scene.
Sadly though, his attitude towards others is the biggest issue, and it is seriously starting to show in public.
Just start digging around. the proof is there.

As time as shown, where one person steps down, another takes their place.

I refuse to end this post being narcissistic, so let me say, I hope he finds success in his future endeavors.
Personal feelings aside, the fact remains he is talented, and dang good at what he does, so I hope he can make a good impact in his future projects.

This will be the last answer i give about dramas since this is supposed to be a release thread.

1) I blocked you cause you started laughing at me without any motivation. I hate when people act like this. IRC channel logs can confirm this.

2) If you refer to ONElua then no, i never accused them of stoling my code. However, i accused them of breaking several times GPL license since they included in their interpreter several GPL code like TheFlow's USB one. Also this "drama" doesn't have nothing related to this matter. This "drama" has started cause GregoryRasputin got mad when i received two adapters from Hackinformer and i made a tweet to thanks him.

3) If you were referring to Vitacheat (that hadn't been even mentioned during this drama but let's talk about this too), i already showed parts of the HEX files that are the same. It's highly unlikely that someone that the day before the release of that plugin forked and liked rinCheat repository is not using my code when you even see the SAME exact prototypes been called. Should i spend a month reversing a plugin to prove what it's obvious and already approved by the majority of Vita devs on #henkaku IRC channel? Don't think so but if you want to spend a month to prove i was wrong, reverse it and prove it. You'll be surprised to see the functions i pointed out will be the same exact from rinCheat or from another of my GPL licensed hbs.

4) Some people also accused me to be "jealous" of ONElua interpreter and that's why i removed these homebrews from VitaDB then tell me why GoHAN and GoHANmem are on VitaDB?
Maybe it's because OneRice07 after admitting he used GPL code rewrote from scratch its plugin that now is on VitaDB and i'm the first recommending using it when someone tells me about rinCheat?
I would be more than glad to be proven wrong on ONElua matter and to restore ONElua homebrews status on VitaDB but since devs already said they won't opensource it cause "C code would be used by other devs for their apps so is not necessary" (I'm quoting the same words gdljjrod pronunced on Twitter on the matter) i will never be proved wrong and i won't restore the state of such homebrews.
Same applies for Vitacheat. When i'll be proved it isn't running GPL code, i will upload it on VitaDB.
I don't have anything against closed source projects as soon as they DON'T break licenses. That may sound stupid to someone who did never spent time developing stuffs but for a developer spending months of work to get his code stolen and put in a closed source project without even getting credited is the shittiest thing that can happen.
Proves i don't have anything against closed source homebrews?
JellyCar, VHBB, PSP Homebrews Browser, GoHAN, GoHANmem are all closed source homebrews and they're all on VitaDB.
Oh i want to precise also that when someone come on #henkaku or #vitasdk and asks how to start programming and someone suggests him to start with Lua, i'm THE FIRST saying there are ONElua and lpp-vita availables. Probably everyone lurking on these channels can confirm this. That's another proof i'm not mad/jealous/whatever at no one.

With that being said i really hope this **** comes to an end. I'm not going to reply to more drama questions. I don't want to spent anymore time in such childish wars.
Hope moderators won't delete this specific post even if it's off topic but if it will be deleted, i'm going to screenshot it right after sending it just so that it won't be lost.
