Discussed the topic with a friend of mine who I always consult before modding things as he just knows more about that stuff.
So he said I should consider not doing that as the risk of poly-ion batteries start burning or other "funny" stuff is quiet possible.
But I found an Option B, which I found while reading through stuff in wololo's Blog:
http://www.dannychoo.com/en/post/26419/ ... B+Mod.html
Guess I will use that to charge my vita whereever I am as I already have an external battery pack.
But nether the less, cool TUT and your way just seems more badass :D .

Is this possible to do with the wifi version or will i have to melt down the molding since it does pop up blocking the battery.

WiFi only. Sorry for not making that part clear. I used a fake Chinese battery for demonstration because my dog chewed up my genuine battery while I left it out on my desk._.

That's good so far. You've got it open without damage. What you need to do is very carefully use your pliers and gently pull them silver strips away from the PCB pads. Or instead, you could simply use scissors or wire-cutters and just cut off the strips. Here is a clearer idea. I'll use your uploaded picture:

RED - Carefully peel metal strip off the PCB pad with pliers.
or
GREEN - cut the metal strip off of it's pad with scissors or wire-cutters.

Once you've done one of them, strip a wire exposing the metal of the wire and wrap it round the strip from the PSP battery, then pinch the PSP battery's metal strip and fold it over the wire & solder.

In-fact, that's up to you. You just got to make sure that you do a sturdy soldering job. Hope this helps.

So I just solder a wire onto the metal parts sticking out then wrap the wire around the exposed Vita battery now?

Use your pliers and remove the sheet metal from the PSP battery's PCB board, or cut them off as in the picture.
Then get some extra wire (wire of your own) and strip that wire from the top

Hope that's clear enough.
