Your help needed! Run HBL on Golf 2 and post a debug log.

Post by JJS »

You can help us by posting a debug log of HBL on any Golf 2 game (Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2, Everybody's Golf 2, Minna No Golf 2) running on a PSP GO (this is important). This helps with checking on whether the syscall estimation for the GO is working correctly.

What you need:
- A copy of either Everybody's Golf 2, Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 or Minna No Golf 2 from PSN.
- A PSP GO

What you have to do:
- Get the latest revision of HBL from Mr. X's thread
- Put the nonids debug version on your memory stick.
- Run HBL till the menu and exit. No need to start any game.
- Post the debug log from "ms0:/hbl/dbglog". Please indicate the game in your post.

We only need a few debug logs and not necessarily multiple logs from the same game/firmware combination.

Thank you! :D

It looks like there is really a problem with the config file name generation, but I cannot reproduce this on my 1000 at the moment.

Therefore: if HBL returns to the XMB right after the exploit is executed, please rename the file "ms0:/hbl/config/imports.config_6xx" to "imports.config". Then HBL should start normally into the menu.

Edit: Alright, I see the problem now. R104 is broken on all Golf 2 versions except for Everybody's Golf 2 because the config files are missing.

No need to try R104 on anything other than Everybody's Golf 2 for now. For the other games, either this task will be reopened in R105 or I will upload those files here. Stay tuned.

Edit: R105 should fix the problem and you can submit a debug log according to the OP.

I think a PSP GO is needed... Correct me if I'm wrong but a 3001 is not a GO.

No need to be sorry actually because your post made me realize that there is a critical bug in R104. ;)

Here's mine from Everybody's Golf 2, PSP Go, Firmware 6.31.
As a side note, I've tried a few bits of homebrew with this and it seems most don't want to boot :(
Is this expected?

Note: Tried to launch Zombie Desert in this instance: Reboot :(

DrMon, in your example, the game is trying to allocate negative Ram, this is extremely bizarre.
If you need US PSN Codes, this technique is what I recommend.

The negative number could be an error code? Edit: It is 0x80200000 in hex, so at least no known error.

Btw, what I already found out through the logs is that sceRtc and SysmemUserForUser have different exports on 6.3x, so they require new nids files. I will add them in the next revision after more reviewing some more logs.

Edit: Also scePower. Looks like I have to check them all :? .
