Xbox live on the original Xbox

I recently changed my Xbox 360 gamer tag. WhenI tried to play Xbox live on the original Xbox, it would not work. I noticed that there is an "account recovery" feature on the Xbox. IfI use this, it says that I will only be able to use live on this Xbox console. Does this mean that I will no longer be able to use it for the Xbox 360? If you have any idea about this, please let me know.

MS shutdown the servers for the original Xbox back in 2010 so no it wont effect you Xbox 360 cause that option won't work.
BTW hows life under that rock?

Also how is this Vita related? Please pay attention as to where you post.

BTW nice question.

Maybe there is any unofficial servers/services/replacement for that old closed xbox live thing? Like something for dreamcast games and ps2 games (quake 3/Phantasy Star Online/RE outbreak/wii stuff). I didn't mean xlink kai LAN gaming, i mean online.

I know it and even prefer it to xlink but I was referring to an actual online replacement ala custom servers and such like CB made for that one dot hack game on PS2.

Unfortunately the OG Xbox's Live encryption still stands strong.
