why close it? this is information people need to know imo. to answer the question, people with psp-1000s and psp-2000s with ta-088v2 or less motherboards should be able to install 5.00 or 5.50 cfws using hellcats recovery flasher if they would like to. users with psp-2000s w/ ta-088v3 motherboards, ...

"anything" is a broad term, but basically yes. btw: looking at your sig, you could also try your pandora battery on your friend's psp to verify if it has a ta-088v3 or not

im assuming you are suggesting using this ftp program to downgrade to a lower version of ofw. the bottom line is the hbl cannot write to the flash0 memory of the psp, no matter how you transfer the files to the psp.
