You filename has either unicode or special chars that it has to escape. Use the -n option to specify var name.

That is your problem. You can't tell the homebrew running on the vita to open a PNG file on your computer. You need to use FTPVita to transfer the PNG file into the Documents folder on the vita. the path cache0:/VitaDefilerClient/Documents is the path on the vita's memory card. Another method is use...

What is the filepath? I think it need to be something like below. Also check that the return value of calling vita2d_load_PNG_file(filename) != NULL

cache0:/VitaDefilerClient/Documents/myimage.png

Rejuvenate uploads the the velf into this directory.

If you use the latest SDK built on 20151012, then you have to rebuild your own vita_portlibs and vita2dlib. Those vita-extra-libs that you got from frangcj website probably wouldn't work on the latest SDK, there were massive changes to the vita_headers.

Sorry, you can't restore backups created from higher firmware to a lower firmware vita. The only known method to get the game on lower firmware vita is to download it from PSN to a PS3 and then transfer from PS3 to vita.
