I've noticed a theme where-by FREE apps force update to "optional firmware". From memory, Skype App did this on the US store. Think this is S0ny's work around to compel updates on "optional". For my money, I'm just waiting for Gravity Rush. It's at least a new character and a somewhat fresh/new(ish)...
