Re: New Team, for new to programmer
Python???? Are you serious? (Few hour later, m0skit0 come to reply, against python...) Python = not true programming, even if its a programming language. 1) INTERPRETED 2) Syntax (no { } to define what inside or not in function) 3) The "for _ in _ " statement many more thing. If we want to do progr...

Re: New Team, for new to programmer
Java is no good for learning, same goes with C++. I already said this: OOP is not for learning. C is definitely not that hard, it's just filled with myths. Also C will make you understand better how computers work. Ah, scratch that, I meant to say Python, not Java. I'm currently learning Java, that...

A tough call, but, a PSX to me means, Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2.
Other serious contenders:
Legend of Dragoon
Resident Evil 2
Crono Cross
Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure
Grandia
Metal Gear Solid

Re: New Team, for new to programmer
If most of the people here are new programmers, shouldn't you use a simpler language? I'm not saying you can't do it, but I've been programming for about two years, and I know that C++ is out of my league, and C isn't much better. Just as a recommendation, you might want to use something like Java, ...

Re: Which OS do you use?
I'm using Vista right now, but I'm working with Ubuntu in Virtual-box, and I love it. I only went with the recommended settings, so it's a little slow, but aside from that, it runs beautifully. Plus I have found the free applications to be better than a lot of pricey windows applications.

Re: there is a mod for the japanese PSX?
I have never seen that one, is that...a SD card port? Anyway, from the looks of it, it's a ps2, with a ton of stuff. I suppose free McBoot might work, and with the added drives, there might be another crack that a regular PS2 wouldn't have. I would doubt that there is a mod chip, due to the high pri...

Re: New subforums for your favorite platform?
I don't think they'll allow "free games" in the PC section in lieu of the anti-piracy principles of people here on /talk. but if you're talking about legit free games, then sorry for misunderstanding you I meant free homebrew games, like the ones for PSP, I want to see what some of the people here ...

I pick the Pandora(because I'm a fan) and PC(because I want to see some free games on my PC)
The OpenPandora is amazing, linux OS, homebrew support right out of the box, and emulator ready. Not to mention great hardware
