SFX sound pack

Post by abrasax »

Hi,

Here is a small SFX sound pack for all wagic lovers...

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=246PDDNG
zipped 11,3MB (unzipped 16,6MB)

It contains 74 SFX sounds (including the original one) such as Angel, Bat, Elf, Merfolk, Spider, Kithkin, and many more such as all basic lands...

I hope one day we could add also SFX for specific cards (e.g. lightning bolt) or for composite type and subtype cards (e.g elf knight), in the waiting I did not add too much of SFX like cleric, soldier or warrior because you loose then the specific Type SFX if you have a subtype SFX.

Lot of these SFX are free (but probably not all), lot of them have been also reworked in order to be normalized and short for use in Wagic...

Hope you will enjoy it.

Grüssi

Great, been looking forward to someone adding/changing the music and SFX. One down - One to go. Now we just need to add or change the music. After playing for a little while (I have been playing for hours at a time...) the sound just goes off. It has unfortunately been getting on my nerves after awhile.

thanks abra. :)
devi59, do you mean the SFX get on your nerves, or the music ? In either case, they are easy to change (mp3 for the music, wav for the audio...)

the music. I thought I read somewhere that changing the music crashed the game. I just havent tried to do anything.

It crashes if the music has id3v2 tags. ID3v2 tags can be easily removed with a player such as winamp

Sounds great. Quick questions. Do we need to replace what is there or can we just drop more in the folder? Do we need to stick to certain filenames or go hog-wild? I would love to drop some great fantasy music in there.

currently only "track0" and "track1" can be used. track0 is used in most menus (the main theme), while track1 is used in the shop.

Edit: note that if you want to listen to your own music while playing, I suggest the "music.prx" plugin. Unfortunately this doesn't work in ChickHEN yet, but I believe it will be the case soon as Davee said he would be working on a plugin mechanism.
