Rotated out:

BTP (Box Toppers convention logo full art promo cards) this small set was added to the MIC set.
CSTD (Cold Snap Theme decks) Since I am using ICE AGE block cards with modern frames I have chosen to treat these cards as an event deck. Purists may choose to add them back in because the original ICE AGE Block cards had pre-8th edition frames.
FAED1 (Full-Art Edition Beta) Needs an update to the set.
GTW (Gateway promo cards)moved in with WPN set to consolidate them.
SUP (Super Series promo cards) consolidated with Junior/APAC/ into MSS set.
ZED (Zero Edition) Needs an update to the set.

Wish List:

(AST) ASTRAL (Random effects not implemented in Wagic yet)
(DCST) DREAMCAST (Random dice roll 1-6 effects are not implemented in Wagic yet) I believe it may be possible with complex code to generate a random number.

It would also be nice to have all the alternate art of the Duels of the Planeswalkers games into a corresponding "D12, D13, etc." set.

Why do the sets this way?

First, it gives Wagic more polish as a game. Wagic continues to be steadily improved by many talented people in this community. Rather than just complain that I should not have to hunt for Duel Decks, Premier Decks, From the Vault sets or Planechase sets all across the alphabet, I did something to fix it.

Second, I had to Update over 500 decklists to make this change effective. The changes are minimal to the decks (e.g., Divine vs Demonic DVD changed to DDC) as Wagic retains the card ids and calls them up correctly despite any changes to the SET name. This gave me a chance to update the 500+ card decks I have and make their deck titles more uniform. This way I can find William Wards Azorius deck as opposed to The Slivers Premium deck to play against. I left the game's original 100+ AI decks alone. The majority of the decks I have collected show that most deck builders are using the majority of their cards from the main sets as opposed to a sprinkle of cards from the specialty sets available. Some of that is because certain cards (e.g., Bogardan Hellkite from Knights vs Dragons) are not coded in Wagic yet.

Third, I left the majority of the main card sets alone as I only renamed a few to be more consistant with Gatherer, Wagic or plain common sense set naming practices. The Conflux set started me down this path. Conflux could not be renamed to it's official "CON" so that gave me license to alter the Duel Decks, Premier Sets, HOP and FVD set names as the precedent has been set with CFX. The From the Vault sets are officially abbreviated as DRB, V10, V11 and V12 respectively. Wagic has them as FVD, FVE, FVR, FVL and V12 respectively. However, I compromised and came up with F (From the Vault) + Year. This was an idea that Zethfox inspired me with in another thread about the FTV sets. The Duel Decks are mostly Gatherer set names except Elves vs Goblins EVG which was renamed to DDA to follow suit with the other decks in the set. Masters Edition I needed to be renamed to ME1 and Planechase HOP to PC1 to be more uniform as well. I am treating the Portal sets as their own block like any of the other blocks currently available.

Finally, NONE of these changes should impact anyone's collection as Wagic keeps the correct ids of your card collection stored in your player folder. Remembering Divine vs Demonic as DDC and not DVD should be no harder than remembering Conflux is CFX not CON.

Attached are the revised decks I am using with the new sets.

An added bonus is that all of the AI decks are arranged in alphabetical order.

DDJ or Izzet vs Golgari has a large number of cards that are not coded yet.

I realise I am a bit late to this party but the ordering of the wagic unlocked sets (especially with relation to the trophies) interests me a great deal at the moment.

I am surprised that there isn't some sort of sort function on the trophy screen. (Pardon the word play) I should put in a request for this but I imagie it would be fairly low priority on the list of things to do.

I have experimented a little with renaming. It seems like you can rename the folders as long as you make the same changes in the SETS folder in the core.zip and the flow on to trophies and such.

One of the things that always annoyed me , apart from 10E being first in line , was limited edition sets and third edition being miles from the other core sets.

The other thing in the same vein is that the various blocks aren't grouped together. And last of all is that groups like duel decks and from the vault aren't grouped together.

My solution is to use numbers at the start of the code so things are in the order that I want.

e.g.
000_1_LEA
001_1_LEB
002_2_2ED
003_3_REV
004_4_4ED
005_5_5ED
006_6_6ED
007_7_7ED
008_8_8ED
009_9_9ED
010_10_10E

That gets all the core sets at the start

011_ARN arabian nights
012_ATQ antiquities
013_LEG legends
014_DRK the dark
015_FEM fallen empires
016_HML homelands
017_ice_ICE ice age
018_ice_ALL alliances
019_ice_CSP coldsnap
020_mir_MIR mirage
021_mir_VIS visions
022_mir_WTH weatherlight
...
...
and so on
then for duel decks and from the vault I just have a couple of letters at the front
eg dd, ftv

dd_062_DDA elves vs goblins.
dd_069_DDB Jace vs Chandra
dd_071_DDC divine vs demonic
dd_078_DDD Garruck vs Liliana

...
...

and so on.

The important thing is to know what order you want them in to start with and then get your numbering in order. It is up to the individual where the want the starter and portal and promo. All those extra little sets are something else to think about.

I guess this also has a flow on if you have AI decks as well. I haven't experimented with that side of things yet.

If I got really enthused i would make a little program to sort this all out for you but I am busy with the trophy side of things which appeals to me more. For now. :D

Well this is an old post.

Nice to read somebody else's ideas about this topic.

Thanks for bumping this, it gave me a reason to update my set list.

Haha. No Worries.

I meant to ask you about the trophy for friday night magic and euro-lands.

Are these built into the game?

How do I unlock them?
