Eldrazi Monument (Borderline- Require Confirmation)

Post by trace90 »

Image

Code: Select all

[card]
name=Eldrazi Monument
auto=lord(creature|myBattlefield) 1/1 && lord(creature|mybattlefield) flying,indestructable
auto=@each myupkeep:moveTo(mygraveyard) target(creature|mybattlefield)
auto=@each myupkeep:aslongas(creature|mybattlefield) moveto(mygraveyard) <1
text=Creatures you control get +1/+1, have flying, and are indestructible.
At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a creature. If you can't, sacrifice Eldrazi Monument.
mana={5}
type=Artifact
[/card]
The card works as far as I can tell. The only major problem I can think of is that a player should be allowed to stack triggers at the beginning of their upkeep however they want and this wouldn't allow that. For instance if I had Awakening Zone and this I wouldn't be able to sacrifice the token to the monument if the timestamp is not in the right order when I should be able to no matter when each enchantment came in.

I think it needs some work still. I was only able to test this once but the effect seems to have worn off at the next upkeep. I want to try with more than one of these in play tonight before I comment again.

I did some more testing with it and I noticed that creatures played after the monument weren't getting the bonuses for some reason. I tried splitting the two lord effects up and it seems to have fixed it.

Code: Select all

[card]
name=Eldrazi Monument
auto=lord(creature|myBattlefield) 1/1
auto=lord(creature|mybattlefield) flying,indestructable
auto=@each myupkeep:moveTo(mygraveyard) target(creature|mybattlefield)
auto=@each myupkeep:aslongas(creature|mybattlefield) moveto(mygraveyard) <1
text=Creatures you control get +1/+1, have flying, and are indestructible.
At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a creature. If you can't, sacrifice Eldrazi Monument.
mana={5}
type=Artifact
[/card]
Sorry I should have checked it, I just assumed that it would give the effect to creatures played after it.

changed it to an upkeep cost which is what it is lol...on the upkeep you cant pay it, it goes the the gameyard....and by looking at the other cards like this in the MTG this version seems perfect now...great card good job :)

Seems to work fine. I had two in play and the +1/+1 bonuses for each and indestructible effects worked perfectly for me in my B/G deck.

This code emulates the funtionality of the card pretty well, the upcost one shows several bugs.

Code: Select all

[card]
name=Eldrazi Monument
auto=lord(creature|myBattlefield) 1/1
auto=lord(creature|mybattlefield) flying
auto=lord(creature|mybattlefield) indestructible
auto=@each myupkeep:moveTo(mygraveyard) target(creature|mybattlefield)
auto=@each myupkeep:aslongas(creature|mybattlefield) moveto(mygraveyard) <1
text=Creatures you control get +1/+1, have flying, and are indestructible. -- At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a creature. If you can't, sacrifice Eldrazi Monument.
mana={5}
type=Artifact

this is the one i've been using for quite some time in the previous version of wagic and i haven't had any problems with it i was playing the most recent version of wagic against moat decks and i was like "WHERES MY FREAKIN ELDRAZI MONUMENTS?!?!" i checked and i was like, o, they're not in the game...

Code: Select all

[card]
name=Eldrazi Monument
auto=@each my upkeep:moveTo(mygraveyard) notatarget(eldrazi monument,creature|myBattlefield)
auto=lord(creature|myBattlefield) 1/1
auto=lord(creature|myBattlefield) flying
auto=lord(creature|myBattlefield) indestructible
text=Creatures you control get +1/+1, have flying, and are indestructible. At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a creature. If you can't, sacrifice Eldrazi Monument.
mana={5}
type=Artifact
[/card]
