Re: Online Mode!
I'm sure there are plenty of free network libraries. As for rankings and the like...I think it would be best to start small. So many things would have to be added before rankings would work, such as format enforcement and the like. There's nothing wrong with honor rules (trust).
Re: Online Mode!
Ofcourse you have to start small, as of now there isen't even a general banned/restricted list used so before you could start with ranking you'd need that, you'd need an up to date Tournament Type database (wich cards are allowed in wich Types, for instance type 2 (standard) the last 2 blocks and the last Core Set) and again a banned/restricted list for each type of tournament. Then there is the ranking and matching system that should be made afterwards (matching only the correct types against eachother and climbing in ranks in those etc.) lots and lots of work but would be awesome if it would work because Wagic would be the only network supporting magic homebrew that applies the rules (MWS for instance doesen't do that).

Looks like network functions in C++.

Re: Online Mode!
no, this is for http. You do not want a network game to use the http protocol
Re: Online Mode!

However, http requests are all you need to get online card shop running. I'm really bit busy lately, but if I find some time, I'll consider coding proof-of-concept prototype for this.wololo wrote:no, this is for http. You do not want a network game to use the http protocol
Re: Online Mode!
True, but it but http protocol won't give you a playable enviroment, could maybe be used as an online shop but idk if that's really needed.

Re: Online Mode!
I'd personally prefer 2-player back because PSP's seem so darn rare. Every person and their pet cat owns a DS but very few PSP's out there to actually play ad-hoc with, unless there is some way to play it on that Ad-Hoc program released on Playstation 3.
Re: Online Mode!
Wen and if the online mode is put in it will support play against windows/linux/mac version aswell, it will basicly support every Wagic game on anything (even if it's on your ipod or something if that would ever come out lol) since you'd "login" on the wwagic server then find a person to play with, and every person and there pet cat has a few pc's aswellAzul wrote:I'd personally prefer 2-player back because PSP's seem so darn rare. I have one, my 10 year old son has one, heck even my 3 year old son has a hacked PSP.Azul wrote:I'd personally prefer 2-player back because PSP's seem so darn rare.
