WIP - Starwars Wagic Special (SWS)

Hi,

It has 166 working card (including land)

I tryed to include some nice star-wars related mechanism like "force disturbance" (which mean whenever a force spell, a jedi or a sith is being played).

Please do not hesitate to help correct any "overpowered" / "underpowered" card... and any "bad english" text.

Well,

I still did not advanced too much with this set... but since there was too many comments on this one I figure some might like to have a visual preview before posting any comments ;)... so I added one to the main post and here is a second one:

The basic Idea of this set is to create something call "force disturbance" basically whenever a force spell is played or a jedi or a sith is played... would automatically activate some ability of some cards (like force psychosis, force absorbing, force accumulation etc... etc..) and also create some real powerfull tribe concept.

Any comments would be welcomed.

This looks great. I have a few "errors". They aren't very important and I normally wouldn't bother, but since you asked for corrections, here they are.

-On Supernova, the text should say "lose", not "loose"
-On Gravity Well Generator Station, the text should say "ships", not "ship".
-On Mind Clouding, the text should say "draws", not "draw".
-On Calamari's Blessing, the text should say "another", not "an other".
-On Thought Bomb, the text should say "permanents", not "permanent".
-On Sith Holocron, the text should say "creatures", not "creature".
-On the card with the "Dark Reflexion" abilitiy, did you mean to spell it this way, or should it be "Reflection"?

Could anyone reuplode the images somewhere else?
Maintenance is still taking place on the server and they didn't even bother updating the message:
"We should be up and running, bigger and faster than ever, by Tuesday January 19th".

As for the update of the SW mod: It needs the update regardeless - code has evolved since the release and now even the controls are not consistent with the standard release.

Well, the Starwars mod was a "one time" shot, I am not planning to maintain it regularly unless people show some interest. Honestly interest for the starars mod has been really limited. I was expecting people to come up with crazy mods after that, which didn't happen. (creating sets is a long and difficult task...)

Alright, I've spent half an hour writing scripts for renaming the pictures (i refuse to do things manually even when its time-effective) and resizing them. Haven't had much time to play with the cards yet, but this are the 'bugs' I found:

Minor:

Bothan Spy:
Has a token image

Yaqeel Saav'etu:
0/0

Less than minor:

Wall of light:
Sacrifice should be listed as part of the cost (...)

Force projection:
separate 'effects' by comma

Calamari Communication Officer:
"put" -> "puts"

Bothan Blast:
"creature" -> "creatures", dot at the end

More to come as I play.
The set looks spectacular and some of the mechanics introduced are interesting and refreshing. Was a bit disappointed when noticed most auto= lines are empty (ergo cards are not working). :(

Edit: I should have read the description more closely - this is just a draft; I was to eager to play.
Oh, and one more (visual) thing: Get rid of those black frames! They're wasting space.

I was afraid that's the case. Maybe if we implemented better & simpler support for mods (read: single eboot, multiple mods, ability to change in-game, simple installation (maybe even download from the UI, if some coder gets bored enough to implement that)), people would get more excited about using/producing mods. There is already most important part implemented (rules files) and having multiple res folders (maybe except some shared data) is as easy as this can get. It would also get a bit easier to maintain mods and update them, I guess.

hi abrasax, i got bored on friday and finally got the pics and card.dat(before reading the board) and found that nothing was resized or coded(well mostly uncoded), so i started work coding and resizing(hope to get it all done by Saturday 02/13/10) i was going to surprise you, but then i ran into force depletion and wondered if you wanted sith and jedi added to the effect. and, what do you know, you answered that first post(hehe, i need to read before i work) any way i've got 44 cards coded and resized and still working so is it okay to post what i got on saturday or would it be ok to pm them to you? by the way beautiful set. oh lowbacca needs a droid token.
