Wagic 18.6 works fine on my iPhone. Can I use the core files of a newer revision and can I import them?

I have got the same resolution on my iPhone 5 and on my iPod Touch 4g. On my iPhone, the battlefield does not fll out the whole display. This is why I ask about a higher resolution. So with the higher resolution I can install the HQ images.

I have played wagic on the PSP for a long time and now I installed it on my iDevice, but I have some troubles with the key bindings in the game.
For Examble I have problmes to deal damage to a player with an instant or to interrupt spells. Can anybody tell my how it works?
