Wololo, did you leave the scene ?

Alright.
Short answer: no. I’m still lurking, just much less active. That’s it. For those interested in more details, read along
Well, it’s not really complicated. Long story short, this is a combination of dwindling interest and diminishing skills on my end.
1. Can’t git gud anymore
I’ve been fascinated by the hacking scene (console or otherwise) for as long as I’ve known about computers. My admiration for the PSP homebrew scene back in 2006 is what convinced me to open this blog and create my first (and only so far) homebrew game Wagic. That was my way to give back.
Somehow, things drifted from there and this humble blog became a reference source for all things PlayStation hacking, for many years. I also tried to contribute, with my limited knowledge and skills, to the progress of the hacking scene. Bragging time: I was the first person to publicly run unsigned code on the PSP Go, and on the PS Vita (in the PSP emulator).
I won’t lie, I was pretty proud of being the “go to place” for anyone wanting to understand the latest and greatest about PlayStation hacking. But I guess everybody reaches a plateau eventually. The inner workings and security of modern devices such as the PS Vita, the PS4, or the PS5, were way beyond my skills (combined with limited free time due to being a family man nowadays). I’ve tried, quite hard, to stay “on top of the game”, but over the past few years I was slowly realizing that I didn’t understand the hacking process for these devices, at least not well enough to explain it properly.
That grew quite frustrating (especially when some very prominent members of the scene would basically message me to tell me I basically didn’t understand a thing. It was true. It still hurts, because I was doing my best to both understand and explain those things…). And in parallel, some folks became better at explaining the progress of the scene than I was. (by the way shoutout in particular to Modded Warfare who has been doing an awesome job!).
So, this blog progressively grew irrelevant, and from there started a vicious circle involving my lack of interest, reduced traffic to the site, and less and less amount of time I was willing to spend on the scene.
So that’s it for my end of the deal: I wasn’t skilled enough anymore to justify being a driving source of info for the scene. This might come back, but for now that’s what it is.
There are other reasons too
2. Growing competition
We live in an ever changing world, and it’s become hard to justify owning and operating a blog, when everyone nowadays gets their news from youtube, reddit, and social media. Competition from these sites was bad but manageable in 2015. In 2025, with AI basically sucking all of my content and regurgitating it in places where I get neither the revenue nor the audience interaction, well what’s the point really ?
Look, this is a “granpa yelling at clouds” situation here, but I think the internet I used to love is dead. It’s all AI slop or closed-wall gardens such as Discord now. Frankly it sucks, and it’s depressing enough that there are days I don’t see the point in adding content to the machine.
I might be overdramatic, but the rise of AI-everything in all of the content we use was the final straw for me. With my site and its traffic only being a shadow of its former self, and my only audience being AI crawling bots (which by the way have no regards for site performance… they will suck all of your website’s content as fast as possible, bringing it to its knees. “Give us all your content and we’ll kill your site’s performance while we’re at it, thanks”), is there any reason to keep going ?
Ha, overdramatic for sure. But it was just one other reason to lose motivation.
3. The conclusion, and what’s next
I don’t think there is any good reason at the moment for me to keep talking about the scene progress: I don’t understand it enough anymore (and am not as passionate about it as much as I used to) that I can explain it properly, and even if I did, some people do it better than me today. Last but not least, it’s hard to justify from a “time investment” perspective, when the site’s traffic has been tanking for years.
Oh, I also want to thank the many people who reached out to me to ask if I was ok. In general I didn’t reply (sorry), but thanks a lot for reaching out! I did read the emails and comments on the blog!
Now, on the bright side, as I said I’m still lurking on the scene: I do actually have a release in the pipeline, hopefully for today. It’s a homebrew game, and it will be for PC and… Nintendo Switch! Stay tuned!

Salute buddy! thank you for all your time and interesting articles.
When life catches up, add vodka to your lemonade!
I will always remember the PS Scene and how messing around led to you.
Love and Respect from

Been checking this site since PSP’s golden hacking days, Pandora’s box, etc. Hope you find the motivation you’re looking for and it carries on. Not too many sites I trust anymore.
I don’t remember when it was I first started coming to this site but I first found this site when wanting to mod my PSP and I’ve had it bookmarked ever since. I periodically come back here to keep up on the scene. In fact, I had actually came here today to see if there were any updates on the state of the PS5 now that the ROM keys have leaked, hoping to see maybe an emulator or an exploit for the console itself is in the pipeline. Thanks for all these years of your help. I wouldn’t have been able to mod my PSP, 3DS, Vita and PS3 without your work! I completely understand where you’re coming from, sounds like you’re just ready to retire and you deserve that! That being said, I bet this website could still continue to provide useful information for the scene even if you’re just not up to it anymore. It would be a huge loss for the community as a whole if the website just stopped so why not just keep the site up but leave the site open for those currently in the scene to directly provide their work to the community? Either way, I’m still grateful for the resources you’ve provided us over the years. Thank you!
Thank you for everything Wololo, this site is still one of the few I regularly visit on a daily basis to see if anything is new in the scene.
Have been on this site since the PSP days & Vita HBL PSP where we accessed things through a link to get the specific games. I visit it regularly and knew and saw the pattern of releases that you are taking a break. I am glad you are okay.
You deserve to put that time and energy where it matters most and we respect that. A big thank you from a person who still visits your website while being in Canada and used to visit your website when I was younger being in Qatar, Turkey, Cyprus and Oman as my life was changing you’ve been part of the journey for me. I rarely write comments, but here I am writing to you 🙂
Much love brother.
not gonna lie, you are right. the reasons you have for leaving are the same ones that stopped me from checking your site out less and less until not anymore.
(used to be daily!)
but its good to call quits when its time and to move on, thanks for the years of good content!
No worries and thank you so much for the care and love you’ve put into this site over all these years! Even with the less regular updates, this site felt way more alive than most of the AI infested internet.
Cheers!
Thanks for everything you did for the scene <3
You have made my life better every single day you post. I have had your website as my homepage since I was a young teenage girl and I’m a 31 year old mom now. Seeing how everything is always changing your blog has been a constant. I don’t expect you to continue if it’s a waste, but please know how much I have appreciated you as a constant in an ever changing world. If you ever need additional writers, I would be happy to volunteer, but something tells me that isn’t what you need. Regardless I just wanted to say thank you, and apologize for this being my first comment.
Thanks for all your work, and running this site for so long. Been a long time lurker after the other popular sites turned toxic. This has been my go to site for console hacking news since psxhax went to poop.
Even if you hang up your hat so to speak, youve done more than enough and alot more than most.
You’re awesome wololo. Thanks for all information over the years i was only 9 when I discovered your website and now I’m 28. Because of you I was able to understand cfw on the psp and jailbreak my ps4 as well. Growing up I didn’t have a lot of money to buy all the newest games but because of you I was able to manage, and when I was in school with my cfw psp running hacked pokemon games that made all the kids with ds in awe of what the ps was capable of making me one of the coolest kids in my class lol. So once again thank you for everything and I hope you’re doing well, and wish all the best for you and your family. Take care buddy.
Im a reader from Malaysia. Thanks for all the interesting articles. Always has been best source for hacking news scene for me. Will be missing all the exciting news but as life is, all good this must come to an end. Hopefully the hacking scene will be as interesting as it was before
I appreciate everything you do man! I religiously check your site for the latest (trustworthy) scene news. I have for years, and I will continue to come here until you take the site down…which I sincerely hope you don’t. I hope you find a way to monetize your efforts and block the leeches from taking credit for your work. WOLOLO is a legend in the scene news in my book. Keep on winning in life my friend – you are loved by many!
Thank you for everything you’ve contributed to the scene.
I agree, everything is AI slop or closed-wall gardens like Discord. But please don’t let that discourage you. I prefer your articles over AI-written slop and I’m sure many others do as well. 🙂
Ive been an active member of this site since the very beginning, always has been my go to to get the latest PlayStation hack news. Sucks its this way but I completely understand. Thanks for all the information for all these years bro. Respect.
It has been an honour sire!
Sad times for sure, thanks for all your hard work over the years.
I was a 12 year old living in an, at the time, deeply (and recently) impoverished country in South America when I gamed the /talk weekly contests. I sold those Amazon gift codes for food, which was scarce.
You had to shut it down because of me.
I’m sorry. I feel like I took away from something magical for my own benefit.
Could you believe I still regret it, and it keeps me up at night every now and then?
I hope you and your family are well. Truly, my best wishes. Here’s to Wololo.
I always read the hacking news on your site. Except the hackers themselves nobody really understands that *** completely.
But i always found your articles well written and understandable for all people.
Sad you made that decision, but understandable.
I hope you regain your motivation one day, because your site was the best!!!
Your site was always the definitive information hub for all my PS 3 and Vita realted needs.
Thanks for all the work you put in over the years.
Você é necessário, aprendi mujito contigo, espero que estje bem e volte semopre que puder!!
saudações do Brazil
Thank you for all of years of your work, I remember the day I first opened this site and back when PS Vita was new the good old fat model. I completely agree with you about the state of the internet, I wish I was more active back then, but even my little activity then helped some people out. It is truly hard to accept the fact that everything just got overly complicated and less fun then ever, both the scene and generally the communities have drastically changed, the only thing that became really more accessible are the newly created megathreads and guides that people have created in recent years. But it is what it is, the fun is over and we have to move on.
I just wanna say, thank you for having stuck around all this time in the community. I remember back when I got the PSP and I was so fascinated with homebrew and mods, and this site was absolutely the go-to for everything in the field. There is no other site I’ve consistently stuck around besides this one through the years and it’s always been exciting to see everything the community has to offer. It’s really funny to think all of my modding started with the PSP, but nowadays I’m modding just about every console I’ve got, along with developing my soldering skills to boot. You’re a true legend man. I hope you and your family are doing good and as long as this site is kicking, you know I’ll be dropping by
I’ve been reading your blog for about 10 years now, just want to say thank you for your service. For the past decade, it’s been the main place I go to in order to get info on the current happenings across various hacking scenes. Since you’ve slowed down, I’ve looked for an alternative source of news but I have yet to find one that matches your site.
Once again, thanks for many years of interesting articles.
Thank you Wololo for your work through the years. You and your blog inspired me to study electrical engineering, hack every device I own and start my own tech blog. I’ve been a reader since 2013ish, and I really enjoyed the time I have spent here.
