PS5: etaHEN 2.0 beta released
Developer LightningMods has released a Beta version of etaHEN 2.0. This new release adds a new Cheat support (similar to what we have with GoldHEN on PS4), as well as bug fixes. If you have a hackable PS5 model that supports etaHEN (currently, from Firmwares 1.00 to 5.50), you’ll probably want to give it a try. Keep in mind that this is a beta and a few things probably still need to be ironed out.
What is etaHEN for PS5?
EtaHEN is a payload that runs on a Jailbroken PS5, and basically acts as a Custom Firmware for the PS5. EtaHEN leverages lower-level exploits and utilities (depending on your Firmware, either Byepervisor or ps5-kstuff), in order, among other things, to run PS5 Apps. This includes Homebrew, but also PS5 “backups”, aka decrypted PS5 games.
EtaHEN also has support for runtime patches and mods (such as 60 FPS Mods by Illusion), and other QoL improvements such as Debug Settings menu and the like. It is somewhat comparable to GoldHEN on the PS4, although with less features for now. But that number has been growing steadily since its inception.
It is also well integrated with LightningMods’ Itemzflow, a really nice looking interface that lets you display and run PS5 Homebrew and backups, as well as PS4 games.
EtaHEN 2.0. What’s new?
Although there isn’t an official list of changes yet, here’s what LightningMods wants people to focus on during this beta test:
- Cheats (MC4, Json, SHN)
- Open a game then go to Toolbox -> Cheat (WIP)
- Toolbox improvements

In particular, the developer has stated that toolbox has had bug fixes in it, and it particular it shouldn’t freeze anymore.
etaHEN 2.0 – Download and install
You’ll need of course a Jailbroken PS5 in order to run etaHEN, specifically, it needs to be on Firmwares 1.00 up to 5.50 included. What you can do with etaHEN heavily depends on the underlying exploit you’re running, and whether or not your Firmware supports Byepervisor (firmware 2.70 and below) or ps5-kstuff (Firmwares 4.51 and below). Basically 4.51 and below are typically recommended.
To download and run etaHEN 2.0 beta, go to LightningMods’ Discord server and follow the instructions in the pinned message.
Alternatively, wait a few more days for the official release of etaHEN 2.0

I want AutoHen on Ps4. Firmware 11.00 using esp32. Did anyone know the progress?
I currently using it right now, the device is directly soldered into the internal components of my ps4 pro…
you could use LuckFox to automatically exploit your ps4.
In fact, Pppwn is the only exploit that works on that firmware.
I have a US Launch Day Disk PS5 on firmware 1.02. I wonder what decrypted PS5 games are available to run on it with etaHEN?
great for those who haven’t been online on a ps5 in 3 years.
not so great for 98% of everyone else
You disappeared man. Hopeeverything is ok with you?
Doing ok. Just severe lack of motivation with the blog recently

Yeah but can I use external assets for graphic mods on skyrim?????? That’s all I care about.
This looks pretty neat. I’ll have to wait a bit longer until some up-to-date guides are fleshed out, but I’d love to see how good emulation can get on the PS5.
sony aggreed mods for Arma regorger ps5 version
I’m confused…
If I had a PS5 on 5.50, does that mean I can run etaHEN and use this cheats function?
Byepervisor requires 2.70 and lower while ps5-kstuff goes up to 4.51 only, so what exactly about consoles above 4.51 and up to 5.50?
I’m on 4.03 and dont bother.
1.9 and 2.0 are a buggy sh**show and make your PS5 kernel panic / freeze on load everytime
Keep using v1.8B as that is the latest one that works
So got a question. I’ve run and put Idlesauce’s exploit on the home screen along with the browser and I know I need to run Etahen in order to play fpkg’s. How do I update Etahen and is there a need to do so? I’m on 1.5b. Do I just run the pkg for it? What is etahen.bin that is also present? Thanks.
