How about using a cheap android tv box with Armbian?

I have been thinking about this too. I have a TX3 mini with Armbian.

        update on this:
I managed to use a cheap android tv box (TX3 mini 2GB ram) with Armbian to jailbreak my PS4 pro.
Only doing it manually by using PPPwn C++ from xfangfang.
i dunno how to make the process less painless.

Raspberry Pi 3B+ works at acceptable speed so far and I’m satisfied with it.

Would someone with expertise please explain why there’s no permanent CFW installation? I want to understand the situation but don’t feel like learning all the details.

a “full” CFW mean being able to trick the system at *boot* time into loading a non legit Firmware. This can be done through various ways, none of which are possible on the PS4. Typically, you’d need to find a bug in the boot sequence (the IPL, Initial Program Load) and exploit it to allow it to load some unsigned content.
This isn’t publicly possible on the PS4 today.
but in my opinion it doesn’t matter. The only difference from a user perspective is the need to re-run the exploit every time you want to use it. We’re talking 30s of your time here.

Would it be possible to use the docker version on a homelab ?
It would be useful running it on a debian or unraid server

What about an Android OS version or Android TV? Maybe even a hardware dongle…
My portable computer doesn’t have an ethernet port, so i would have to buy one just to run the exploit, so id rather use my phone because i will have to turn on my computer every time i want to use the exploit, that is a bit tedious, it would be better it i can do it directly connected to the TV or a phone/tablet etc which is more convenient than using a computer :/
