PS3HEN 3.2.2 Released!
The PS3Xploit Team have released PS3HEN 3.2.2. Developers Joonie and esc0rtd3w are bringing a lot of cool features for this “in RAM” Custom Firmware for the PS3 (and the only proper hacking solution for PS3s that cannot install a full Custom Firmware). Among other things, PS3HEN 3.2.2 brings support for 4.80-4.81 CEX as well as 4.82 DEX. The previous release, PS3HEN 3.2.1, had brought support for the recent Firmware 4.90 update.
What is PS3HEN?
PS3HEN is a Homebrew ENabler for all PlayStation models. In particular, it works on Models that cannot install a full fledged Custom Firmware, specifically late Slim and Super Slim consoles (minver of 3.60 or higher).
PS3HEN has most features of a Custom firmware (I’d personally say that the average end-user wouldn’t see the difference), but needs to be re-launched at each reboot of the console. Something which, in my opinion, is not necessarily a bad thing (some of us appreciate that the console returns to an “official” state after reboot, if we have friends or family who simple want to play games without risking to mess up a CFW installation – Yes, it’s possible on a CFW console with Dual Boot, but hopefully you see my point).
psx-place have a great comparison of what the PS3HEN does compared to a CFW, which I’ll reproduce below:

Download and install PS3HEN 3.2.2
- If you’re already running PS3HEN, the XMB Update should work for you (Network -> Hybrid Firmware Tools -> PS3HEN Updater -> Update PS3HEN)
- If you’re on PS3 Firmware 4.90, you can get the specific file here.
- For other versions and installation instructions (if you’re installing from scratch), head over to the official release thread.

The table listed here is insanely useful for people who don’t actively follow every single news, thanks!
I was wondering how PSN access is at the moment; especially uploading my trophies.
Does Sony currently ban IP/console/account when using CFW or HEN on PS3 ?
I want to play some old games and upload my progress but I think I still have an old 3.55 rebug CFW at the moment.
