Switch devs SciresM, and CTCaer  have released updates for Atmosphère, and Hekate/Nyx respectively. The Atmosphère update in particular follows a recent update from Nintendo, as Switch firmware 16.0.2 was released a couple days ago.

Atmosphère 1.5.2 notably brings support for PTP/PMB File transfer, via new homebrew application Haze.

Hekate was updated a bit more than a week ago, with version 6.0.3 being a minor update with bug fixes, and some improvements for Linux support.

What are Atmosphère / Hekate for Nintendo Switch ?

Hekate is a bootloader for Nintendo Switch, and more general “swiss army knife” payload for any hackable Switch. Atmosphère is the most complete and used Custom Firmware on the Nintendo Switch. The combination of these two tools constitutes in my opinion the basics of hacking your Switch.

Lockpick_RCM lets you decrypt and export your Switch’s keys for use in various critical homebrew tools (such as hactool, hactoolnet/LibHac, ChoiDujour, etc…).

Atmosphère 1.5.2 update

Atmosphère 1.5.2  brings the following changes (from the official changelog)

• A homebrew application (haze) was added for performing USB file transfer (with thanks to @liamwhite for both design and implementation).
  • haze is included with atmosphère, and provides access to the SD card via the PTP/MTP protocol.
    • Please note: haze will show inside the homebrew menu under the name “USB File Transfer”.
  • Please note: Atmosphère cannot be updated at runtime, and trying to install an atmosphère update via haze will fail as usual.
• General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.

Hekate 6.0.3 / Nyx 1.5.3 update

Hekate 6.0.3:

• A mitigation was added for bad chainloaders that leave sd gpios in a bad state
• L4T: Now some 2019 T210B01 Samsung ram chips can be overclocked to 2133 MHz for Linux/Android.
• L4T: Added a mandatory change for supporting SD UHS DDR200 bus speed for Linux/Android.
• Fixed an edge case where if hekate was run and the rtc alarm was fired after, booting to HOS would power off the device.
  Since in that case the Switch was awakened via Power or USB, all flags are now cleared during Auto HOS Power off checks.
• Various fixes and improvements

Nyx v1.5.3

• • SD Card/eMMC benchmark now stalls less between each read, in order to stress the cards more.
  • Various fixes and improvements
