I like my WiiU for a lot of Games and its better as all Retrostation you can buiod becauae all.is Native, run without Problems and PS4 Controller work via Bloopair perfectly .. For Nintendont works the PS4 Controller as well but you have to use the controller via USB Kabel or witj external Dongle. Great the Console

..If it wasn’t for the jailbreak, bricked Wii Us would be gone.. forever.

UDPIH/recovery_menu doesn’t “rewrite the OS”. This is simply changing the startup title. Coldboot Haxchi changes the startup title to autoboot Haxchi on startup (hence the name). The problem is if you do a System Format or delete the Haxchi title, which results in the system failing to boot because the startup title is no longer available.

For a PC comparison, this is like changing the boot order from “Internal SSD” to “USB storage only”, then removing the USB storage device.

Fixing the actual eMMC failures may not be possible without hardware modifications.

Sorry, you’re right. For some reason I thought the repair process involved rewriting the entire OS. I’ll correct the article.

not too long ago i tried to revive my wiiu. had a bunch of old stuff and the mods i did. i didnt even think twice about resetting it to stock. ended up with a brick. did tons of googling until i found i could fix it with a pi pico. i immediately bought one. tried 100s of times. never worked for me. there is a delay with my tv before it shows anything on the screen via HDMI. I then saw a post about the cdrom noises. tried that still didnt work. maybe resetting it to factory did something far worse. I ended up getting another wiiu for cheap and modded that one.

My wii u works fine but I can’t get udpih to boot no matter what I do. I wanted to see if I could get into the recovery just to take a look at it but I can’t.
