PS Vita Release: PSVident 0.40

PS Vita scene developer Freakler has released PS Vita Ident 0.40
What is PSVident for the PS Vita
PSVident is a tool that “brings all your Vita/PSTV info in to one place. App has a very nostalgic design for first PSP users, interface is looking very similar to well known PSPident application for PSP.”
PSVident can help you identify you PS Vita model, motherboard type, as well as hardware flags, which can be useful in some situations, in particular if you’re trying to troubleshoot some issues.

The “censored” mode is also a nice addition that lets you share screenshots of the app without leaking any personal information, such as your PSN password

What’s new in PSVident 0.40
Freakler hasn’t provided any information on what’s new in this release. At a quick glance we see a revamped GUI, with the app departing a bit from its original PSP look-and-feel. We’ll update if we get more information.
Download PSVident 0.40

We recommend that you Download and install VitaDB Downloader to then easily install any homebrew on the PS Vita. You can also get PSVident 0.40 Directly from the project’s github here.
As a reminder you will need a hacked PS Vita in order to run this tool. Hacking the PS Vita is a simple process nowadays.

It’s great to see the Vita get more love. Though I can’t wait to see if the Vita on Switch compatibility layer ever gets finished se we can have a nice large touchscreen to play Vita games.
