PS4 Release: PS4 NOR Validator 1.9.2/1.9.3, adds Syscon Patching for CoreOS swap (“Downgrade”)

Scene developer BetterWayElectronics has released a series of updates for his PS4 NOR Validator tool, a tool that help verify the integrity of NOR/Syscon Dumps, and more generally helps with PS4 repairs. This new release adds Syscon patching functionality to help with CoreOS Swap Downgrades.
What is PS4 NOR Validator
From the Readme:
This program is for those with the BLOD or ‘blue light of death’ or any other weird issue with their PS4. Using my program can help you determine if its a software or hardware issue. It might sound a bit basic to say that my program just checks what the problem is, but ultimately without it you could be repairing things for no reason and wondering why it isn’t working. This program is designed and catered to other console repair professionals, this is why it is simple and straightforward. If you cannot desolder/reflash your PS4 then you’re doomed. I am happy to say that my program will check every single byte of the flash, either individually as a value or as an area (such as encrypted/filled). Nothing is skipped.
But the new releases do more than that, allowing to actually patch the Syscon dump. This helps, among other things, with a Firmware “downgrade” to the previous installed version (the CoreOS swap that we have described here). It can also be used to enter service mode for the Syscon chip. All of these things require good soldering skills, by the way 😉
PS4 NOR Validator 1.9.2/1.9.3 – What’s new
This release is a pretty major change, since it brings lots of new functionality to write to the Syscon chip, in relation with BwE’s recent guide for CoreOS Swamp (PS4 downgrade) and the launch of his matching hardware modchip. The functionality is still considered beta though, and for all intents and purposes, NOR Validator should be considered as a tool for people who do a lot of PS4 modifications (such as repair shops) rather than a tool for the layman.

ps4 slim 9.0 rocks baby
First. Seems to be a useful tool, it would be awesome if it works as advertised and helps to diagnose, patch and fix BLOD Ps4’s.
The downgrade feature is cool, hoping for a future update which can enable universal downgrade of any Ps4 without a prior dump backup. Solderless would be epic.
