Our favorite Jack of All trades Zecoxao has released ps5-pup-unpacker and ps5-pup-decrypter, as well as decrypted PUP files (PS5 Firmware update files) for PS5 firmwares 3.00 to 6.02 included.

ps5-pup-unpacker released

Unsurprisingly, ps5-pup-unpacker is heavily based on Zer0xFF‘s ps4-pup-unpacker, as the PS5 PUP format is basically identical to the one used on PS4.

This tool is used to unpack the contents of the PUP container into individual files.

Decrypted PS5 Firmwares and ps5-pup-decrypt

Zecoxao has also released ps5-pup-decrypt, a tool to run directly on a hacked PS5 through the ELF loader, which can be used to decrypt PUP files (so that they can be later extracted with ps5-pup-unpacker)

Although you can download ps5-pup-decrypt (you’ll have to compile the ELF by yourself, something that might be tough considering there is no publicly available SDK yet?), Zecoxao has also shared pre-decrypted firmware PUP files in a MEGA folder (credits go to @Mihail_Atanasov and @_ohcHIT for actually running the tool)
