Release: PS4/PS5 Emulator KyTy 0.2.0

KyTy is a “work-in progress” PS4/PS5 emulator, which already runs a handful of PS4 games. Version 0.2.0 adds improvement to PS5 graphics to the emulator by developer InoriRus, and the developer says this version now runs PS5 Homebrew (for which samples are still hard to find).
What is Kyty
Kyty is a PS4/PS5 emulator (running on Windows x64) in early stages of development
From the Readme:
It is possible to run some simple games for PS4 and homebrews for PS5
There maybe graphics glitches, crashes, freezes and low FPS. It’s OK for now.
Features that are not implemented:
- Audio input/output
- MP4 video
- Network
- Multi-user
Path to Savedata folder is hardcoded and can’t be configured. System parameters (language, date format, etc.) are also hardcoded.
What’s new in KyTy PS4/PS5 Emulator
This new update actually comes with a binary release, version 0.2.0, which you can download below and test. Scene member BrutalSam has a video showcasing the emulator running PS4 commercial games Blackhole and Worms WMD.
As far as PS5 emulation is concerned, the developer has provided a screenshot of the emulator running simple PS5 homebrew. Theoretically, PS5 and PS4 are not so different, using similar architectures, which is why this emulator is able to handle both with “minimal” configuration differences.

Download and run Kyty PS4 Emulator
You can download the Kyty emulator on the project’s github here.
To run the emulator:
- unzip the package in your folder of choice
- Have you executable (elf) PS4 files in a specific folder
- Run the launcher and create a configuration. Select the folder where your elf files are, and check “run elf” for the specified binary.

Keep in mind that this is still in very early stage, do not expect miracles yet 🙂
Note that you can donate to the developer if you want to support their work. Check the project’s readme for details.
You can check other PS4 emulators, some of which already run commercial games to some extent, on our PS4 emulator page.
