Release: SteamOS 3.0 for PS4 (unofficial)
PS4 Scene developer Nazky has released a port of SteamOS 3.0 compatible with your (jailbroken) PS4.
What is SteamOS for PS4
SteamOS 3.0 is a Linux distribution based on Arch Linux, mostly designed to play your Steam games on non PC machines. It is mostly open source with some proprietary components, meaning a port for exploited devices such as a Jailbroken PS4 is a possibility.
This is what NazkyYT has done with this release, which the developer says has the following features and bugs:
SteamOS on PS4 – Features :
- – Can use the DS4 as a trackpad
- – Heroic game launcher (epic games)
- – Lutris (for every others games)
- – DXVK (Directx9,10,11 to Vulkan)
- – VK3D (Directx12 to Vulkan)
- – Wine
- – SteamDeck UI shortcut
- – ProtonUP QT (update wine and protonge)
- – Can be update – GameScope
Known issues:
- – DS4 detect as a mouse not a trackpad (fix : change the setting to trackpad)
- – SteamDeck UI not opening (fix : start Steam connect close steam run the SteamDeck UI again)
- – Black Screen (fix : wait until you see “No Signal” and press a key or press CTRL + ALT + F4 then CTRL+ ALT + F7)
According to the developer, games run pretty smoothly on the console, all things considered.

Download and install SteamOS for PS4
as a reminder, you will need a Jailbroken PS4 in order to install any Linux distribution on your PS4.

I’m not a linux guy, but after watching the youtube clip, I have to say it is pretty impressive!
I do run emulators on PC/android devices to play retro games, but it’s only ’cause those old consoles are no longer available.
And I’m sure people who owns a PS4 must already have a PC, so if they’re really missing those retro games, they’d have been like me — got all the emulators set up and running on their PC already.
But now, to take a game console (PS4), install PC OS (Linux) on it, and then install all the emulators on it, so it can play retro games …. WHY???

How do we know this came from the dev? likely it did but that information would be nice to be able to read from the creator as well.
keyboard and mouse support ?
While I’m using it screen became black and I try Ctrl + alt + f4 and f7 but nothing happens, any suggestion?
