(Video) The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild running on PS4

User DemonicForce_AUS over on Youtube has showcased Zelda BotW running on a PS4 (Video below). This requires (of course) a Jailbroken PS4, and is achieved by running the Cemu Wii U emulator on the console.
Running Zelda games on the PS4, how is this achieved?
The tinkerer has managed to run the Wii U version of Zelda BotW on their PS4, using the following steps:
- Requires a Jailbroken PS4
- Run Linux on the PS4
- Run Cemu (Wii U emulator) on the PS4, then load a Zelda rom

I wouldn’t of course pretend that there is any “practical usefulness” of running so many layers of tools and software to run a Wii U game, when you could simply enjoy Zelda BotW on a Switch, and old Wii U, or an emulator directly on your PC such as CM or Yuzu. In the current PS4 video, the game is showcased running between 15 and 20 fps, which is playable but certainly not the best experience given that so many other options exist to enjoy the game today.
Nonetheless, it’s still impressive to watch what people can achieve on a Jailbroken device. It shows that if proper work was put into native emulators running on the PS4, significant quality and speed could probably be achieved.

You know I’m gonna report to Nintendo.
Yea no *** dude. Did this really require an article? People have known this since Linux has been installable on jailbroken consoles.
I use steam to play Halo: Masterchief collection on PS4.
Just because it feels so wrong and awesome at the same time to see the Xbox Game Studio’s splashscreen pop up on Playstation
