God of War coming to PC, Uncharted movie trailer, and more: PlayStation is trying to expand

Sony are trying to expand the reach of PlayStation to more gamers (and non gamers), and it’s never been more obvious than this week. God Of War has been confirmed to come to PC (Steam) in early 2022, following the success of Horizon Zero Dawn’s own PC release. In parallel to this announcement, a trailer for the upcoming Uncharted movie (Featuring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg) has been released yesterday.
God of War and more PlayStation exclusive titles coming to PC
Sony announced yesterday that God Of War (2018) is coming to PC in January 2022, and can be preordered on Steam already. This is not the first Sony title to come to PC, with Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone having been launched on PC earlier. That’s not even counting a bunch of PlayStation exclusives that ultimately launched on PC, such as many quantic Dreams games, and Death Stranding.
Uncharted, legacy of Thieves collection (Uncharted 4 + The Lost Legacy) is also coming to PC early next year.
Some PlayStation fans are worried that this is going to dilute the PlayStation brand, but given how difficult it’s been to get a PS5 since its launch, and given the smashing success of titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn on PC, it doesn’t seem Sony would have a good reason to not launch their most successful titles on PC. They’ve stated multiple times though that these titles would always come on their consoles first. Seeing that God of War launched 3 years ago, in my opinion this is a good compromise.
And, to be honest, it also seems most PlayStation fans either don’t care, or embrace the fact that their favorite games will be enjoyed by more people.
Uncharted movie trailer released
In addition to the God of War announcement, Sony have released a trailer for the uncharted movie, coming next year (February 18th) to theaters.
The Uncharted franchise, which many of us love, is going to get more mainstream.
But the choice of Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland to play Sully and Nathan Drake respectively has raised eyebrows from Uncharted fans. Sully without a moustache, and Nathan Drake as a semi-weak youngling doesn’t seem to resonate with fans, but they’re both solid actors so we’ll see where they can take this.
There are also questions raised from the trailer, as it seems to show scenes that are directly taken from (or at least heavily inspired by) Uncharted 3 and Uncharted 4, while still being showcased as an “origins” kind of movie. Whether it will be canon with the Uncharted story (and maybe not tell us much we don’t already know from the games), or will just be an entertaining spinoff, remains to be seen.
In the meantime, you can re-watch this fanmade movie which stars Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake (yeah, we get it, we too would have loved a full-length Uncharted feature with him as Drake)
As far as video game movie adaptations are concerned, I’m personally much more excited by HBO’s upcoming “the last of us” series. I don’t care too much is the uncharted movie ends up bombing, but that Last of Us adaptation better be good!

First
Soon we’re going to have so many games that a lifetime won’t be enough to play all of them. So for the game devs who creep around here…quit making *** games…Just my 2 piece

chancer wins again I give up

Playstation is all Sony has left at this point. Their arrogance buried the rest of their profitable divisions and reputations, having to sell off various divisions, just to stay afloat.
May as well just rename Sony, to Playstation, at this point. Of course they want to branch out. They are desperate to remain relevant into the foreseeable future.
Sony Alpha cameras are the best in the industry.
Sony BRAVIA TVs are only behind Samsung and LG in sales (premium market, not the cheap stuff), and are better than them based on reviews.
Sony headphones are the best in the market (WH-1000X series).
The PlayStation, of course.
Only division that’s doing bad is Xperia. For everything else, Sony’s doing better than ever before. So before commenting, do some damn research.
do they pay you to shill for them or are you doing it for free?
Let PC gamers have GoW, it’s not even that good. Previous GoW games were better
Previous GOW games can easily be played on PC, so what’s your point?
Does it do 4K?
Yea
i already pay 5 dolars for it and i have never played it
