Following a leak a few days ago, which turned out to be accurate, Sony have announced the Free PS+ games for this month. And it’s a good lineup this month!

The games offered in September are as follows:

• Hitman 2 (PS4, compatible PS5)
• Overcooked: All you can eat (PS5)
• Predator: hunting grounds (PS4, compatible PS5)

Overcooked all you can eat is Overcooked and Overcooked 2 combined in a remastered package. It stands at 84% on Metacritic and lets you do cooperative cooking locally or online.

Hitman 2 is part of the super popular stealth franchise. “Travel the globe and track your targets across exotic sandbox locations. From sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests, nowhere is safe from the world’s most deadly assassin, Agent 47. Prepare to experience the ultimate spy thriller story.”. The PS4 version of the game has a 82% metacritic score.

Predator hunting grounds is the less critically acclaimed of the bunch this month. At a 56% metacritic score, the game generally is agreed to be “meh”. But if you’re looking for a new online multiplayer shooter to add to your collection, this might be it. In Predator, up to 4 players play as humans trying to fight the one playing as the predator.

The games will be available to download starting September 7th. In the meantime you can still get the games for August: Hunter’s Arena: Legends, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, Tennis World Tour 2. (in my opinion one of the worst lineups in a while for Playstation plus, but what do I know)

Where to get Playstation Plus subscription

I’ve been a happy PS+ subscriber for as long as I remember. I like the free games. They’re not always my first choice, but it’s a nice way to discover games I wouldn’t have tried otherwise.

However, since the infamous 2011 PSN hack, I personally don’t want Sony to have my credit card information in their systems. So instead I typically renew my Playstation plus subscription through Amazon. (this is an affiliate link. If you buy something on Amazon through our link you help support this website). I’ve been super happy with this way of doing this and this limits the number of sites that have access to my info.
