Growing rumors that Sony will stop adding new games to the Vita store starting July 20th

PS Vita Store to Remain open…
Earlier this year, Sony announced their intent to close the PSP, PS3, and PS Vita digital stores this year. They later on backpedaled on that and decided to maintain the PS Vita store up and running (as well as PS3), after a strong push back from the community.
…. But no new releases on PS Vita store
However, Kotaku are reporting some growing rumors that no new games will be added to the Vita store after July 20th. According to Kotaku, the last game to be added to the Vita store might be “Russian subway dogs”, an indie platform game about stray dogs.
This had already been reported back in May by some Vita developers:
Sad news – it seems that the old deadlines for new digital releases on PSVita are still valid. That is, the store will continue to work for customers, but the games will stop coming out this summer😞 #VitaIsland #Vita2021

Confirmation points seem to be coming left and right, so even if it is flagged as a “rumor” from now, this feels pretty solid. Who knows, this might give the russian dogs game some sort of cult status 😉

It would make sense for Sony to stop pouring more effort in a platform that they consider dead. I guess we should count our blessings, and enjoy the fact that at least the store will remain available after all. As far as new releases are concerned, for now the scene has got us covered.

Было бы круто если бы комьюнити виты надавило на сони сильнее, чтоб те начали портировать на виту игры. Эх, мечты.
для чего ? Виту уже не продают и не производят.
сука блять
No surprise here, this was well know, heck, this is the only reason why new games like Horizon Chase Turbo, Unmetal or Luckslinger did not get a digital release on PS Store.
