Mainstream media believe a “Switch Pro” is coming this year. The scene kind of disagrees.

I’m pretty sure that is just a 3D render. Concept art of a new Switch

whatever it is . i am always supporting the gamers developers and the modders for pulling down Nintendo pants down just like what Team Xecuter did . Nintendo doesnt deserve the support and loves from its loyal customers at all . i expect nothing but disappointment from Nintendo since the lunch of Wii .

Before anyone judges me . i do own all Nintendo Consoles and games Legit since the 90s but i still do mod my consoles and buy cheap games and keep them sealed as a collection only and i dont support nintendo anymore .

I think Bloomberg has been claiming this exact “rumor” for years, and may have been been claiming it about the Wii U. It’s a notoriously trash rag.

They could just add an upscaler (DLSS or something else) as a separate circuit and keep everything else.

It seems so obvious to me that it’s going to be a Switch XL…

To be frank, I doubt it will use the Tegra X1, the datamine could easily have outdated data or just be a placeholder with preliminary info.
The PS4 Pro and Xbox One X have considerable different shaders as well (Polaris) yet the games run just fine, they can do a “hypervisor” to run original Switch games/disable the additional shader logic for example. Besides, if I have to go with the data they have, Horizon OS max the clocks speeds at 1785MHz and 921MHz, even if the chip could be capable of going higher, right now it wouldn’t be capable of doing it due to OS limitations.

I still believe the Super Switch is going to be a big jump vs the original Switch, I have read that making the Tegra X1 use modern process node like 7nm for example would require a redesign, considering that DLSS could help big, it’s more likely that it will sport Ampere.
