Developer Crait released Treasure Chasers, a Pirates themed, professional looking game for the PS Vita. Treasure Chasers participates in the KyuHEN Vita Homebrew competition, a contest with more than $1700 in cash prizes. The KyuHEN competition is now officially over, but we’re catching up on a few of the releases from the past few days.

Treasure Chasers is also one of the very few entries in the “Game 2” category (original game with original game engine)!

What is Treasure Chasers for PS Vita

From the readme:

Treasure Chasers is a pirate-themed game, where you navigate through procedurally-generated islands, picking up cargo and delivering to other ports to sell. Besides the whirlpools, there are also pirates that are out to get you! Either avoid them or shoot them with your cannons to survive as long as you can

This game was created for the PS Vita KyûHEN homebrew contest. The game design and programming is by crait, the great music was created by Steven Wahl, and the beautiful pixel art was made by @apoonto
