Switch Firmware Update 12.0.2 is out (do not update yet)
Nintendo has just pushed firmware update 12.0.2 for the Switch. The official Changelog is as fuzzy as ever: you know the drill, more “stability” for us users.

Switch Firmware 12.0.2 is a minor update, do not update just yet
This is a minor update that doesn’t bring any significant change. However if you have a hacked Switch, we advise not to update yet, until your usual tools are confirmed to be working as expected. In particular, SciresM, the developer behind popular CFW Atmosphere, says Atmosphere should work out of the box on this firmware, but that an update is required for it to be fully compatible:
Atmosphere will mostly work, an update is needed for real compatibility (sleep may be broken on mariko, for example).

Some people are mentioning this change possibly includes updates to the bluetooth driver, among other things. If you have installed the update, are you noticing anything new? Let us know in the comments.

It really seems to me that SX OS is dead isn’t it? 🙁
SX OS is not dead, I’ve had it in my 13-burnt fuses Mariko since last month and it works ok. Though sometimes crashes. Should I update the chip’s firmware ? I can do it easily but I don’t know if it’ll break things.

I strongly recommend you switch to Atmosphere at this point. If you feel strongly enough about getting the latest CFW to comment here, I promise you it’ll be worth it to you to go through the process. Was an SXOS fanboy since the start, but now I can’t think of a single thing SXOS gave that Atmosphere doesn’t do quicker and for free.

Is there a way beside modchips and sx os to enable homebrew on new switch and lite?

12.0? I don’t know any single game that requires even fmw 11.0 or higher. With 10.2 I still can play any backuped game
Atmosphere has been updated.
I have install it over 11.0.1 /12.02 battery life has improved in v1 patched switch as am even lag has reduced in some games , & last but not least game crashes has stop .
