Release: SPIWay 0.6 Flash Dumper, with PS5 compatibility
Developer Abkarino (member of team rebug) has released version 0.6 of SPIWay, a program initially coded by developer judges, and designed to flash/dump the PS4 NOR. This version brings compatibility with the PS5, specifically the possibility to flash/dump PS5 NOR Flash of the W25Q16JV family.
This update of SPIWay was confirmed to work by scene veteran CentrinoUK, who apparently dumped his PS5’s Flash memory.
Dumping the NOR of the PS5 does not mean we’ll instantly get a hack for the device, but it will help the right people dig a bit more into the internals of the PS5, which will hopefully be useful in the long term. Similar tools probably already exist to dump the PS5 NOR with a raspberry Pi or others, but SPIWay could save people the trouble of figuring out the right settings.

You can download this SPIWay update here.
In order to use SPIWay, you’ll need a Teensy++ 2.0 programmable board, and, this goes without saying, good understanding of what you’re doing.(some details here and here on the psdevwiki). Use at your own risk.
