BenjaminFaal releases multi-platform PS4 Remote PKG Installer GUI supporting Windows, macOS, Linux and more – You can now install PKGs on your PS4 from everywhere!
Making cross-platforms tools can often be challenging and as a result, many desktop utilities related to console hacking are often Windows-only. Unfortunately, the PlayStation 4’s desktop utilities are no exception but BenjaminFaal has done a step in the right direction thanks to the release of his multi-platform PS4 Remote PKG Installer GUI!
What is PS4 Remote PKG Installer GUI?
As its name suggests, PS4 Remote PKG Installer GUI is a desktop utility allowing you to remotely install PKG files to your hacked PlayStation 4 console. This tool works in tandem with flatz’s Remote PKG Installer and provides a nice and easy-to-use UI to go along with it. For those who are a tad in the dark, Remote PKG Installer is a homebrew utility you run on your PlayStation 4 that allows it to accept PKGs from a local network and install them without having to put them on external media.
Thanks to the fact that BenjaminFaal’s utility is written in Java, it is effectively multi-platform letting you install remotely install PKGs from your Windows, macOS and Linux machines together with virtually any platform supporting Java 8 or newer. Other than being multi-platform and straight forward to use, it also boasts the following features:
- Automatic discovery of PlayStation 4 consoles on one’s LAN
- The ability to wake up a PS4 from standy
- Installing PKG from multiple sources including RAR files and URLs
- Progress indicators, ETAs, stop/resume functionality and some other features that can be seen in its README

Can I play a game on the PS4 while the remote installer is installing another PKG from computer?
Noob questions. But how do I use this on my windows ain’t seeing any executable exe file

Anyone else getting slow speeds for big transfers of 15gb or more? It seems like it starts off around 30 MB/s and then it slows down to about .30 MB/s after a while. Running Gigabit ethernet to switch to router from server to PS4, so not sure what it could be.
