Emulation News: Super Smash Bros Ultimate is now playable in Yuzu – Yet another Switch exclusive is playable on PC!
As more time goes on, Switch exclusivity is gaining a new meaning as various titles that are only available on the console are becoming playable on PC. Earlier this week, the Ryujinx folks released a build of their emulator letting you play Animal Crossing: New Horizons on your computer and now, Yuzu has just announced that Super Smash Bros Ultimate is playable on their emulator!
Yuzu announces that Super Smash Bros Ultimate is now playable thanks to unrelated fix!
On Friday, the Yuzu Team posted on Patreon that developer bunnei, the lead developer of Citra and a highly active Yuzu developer, had fixed a minor issue having to do with Final Fantasy VIII Remastered that had effects elsewhere.

Among these effects, Super Smash Bros was made playable as the FF8 Remastered fix managed to stop the game from crashing (soft locks) and it has potentially fixed other broken games which may be discovered through testing.
This makes yet another Nintendo Switch exclusive title playable through emulation on PC with some recent additions being Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX among others.
Can I emulate it now? What specs are required?
As things stand, Super Smash Bros Ultimate is playable in Early Access (Patreon) releases that require one to pledge $5/month or more to the development of the emulator which already has over $6.5k monthly being pumped into it by community members.

Provided you have a capable PC, you can now play the latest instalment of the Super Smash Bros series on it! (Image from Patreon post below)
However, fixes in Early Access builds eventually make their way into Mainline (public) builds and this time, it may not take too long as the FF8 Remastered fix in Yuzu Early Access builds is already publicly available on GitHub and waiting to be merged into the public code base.
By looking at some videos on YouTube, the game seems to be giving decent results even on mid-range systems such as a Core i3 8350K (Quad-Core) @ 4.6GHz paired with a GTX 1070 (video – by BSoD Gaming) with excellent results on high-end systems (video – by John GodGames Emus).
As usual, it’s important to state the creators of the YouTube videos linked aren’t affiliated with Wololo and they’re being provided for informational purposes
Conclusion
On a related note, Cemu 1.18.0 has been released for Patreon backers with Vulkan fixes, a quick start assistant, native DSU client support and more – a public release is expected on April 4th. Obviously, to play Super Smash Bros Ultimate on your PC, you should own a copy of it and dump it from your own Switch console as downloading the ROM online especially without owning the game is piracy of a title that’s currently on sale!

soo..is it playable at 60fps or is it just claimed to be playable ignoring all the bugs, ect?
We have different definitions of “playable”. Looking at those videos, that’s not playable to me, I mean is a fighting game.
