Gamestop will be selling remakes of some of the old Tiger Electronics Monochrome Handheld systems. They will be sold for $14.99 and will start selling later this Fall.

The most notable return will be the Sonic 3 Handheld.

As well as Sonic 3, they will also be bringing back X-Men, Transformers and the Little Mermaid. They will look exactly as they did back in the ’90s, which should bring back memories for many. I’m surprised Sega is allowing this, as they seem to hate Sonic 3 and don’t want to touch it at all, but if we are getting more Sonic 3 re-releases (even if they ARE on these strange little handhelds) its fine by me.

I have never played any of these original systems (except Sonic 3), so from an outsiders point of view, these don’t seem all that great. As I said above though, I’m sure it will bring back memories for some of you.
