Half-Life: Alyx confirmed release date of March 23rd
Valve recently confirmed on their Twitter that Half-Life: Alyx will be releasing on March 23rd, 2020.
Further down the Twitter thread, they mention that “Pre-Order bonuses for anyone who has purchased a Valve Index will start rolling out the week of March 2nd, beginning with Steam VR Home environments inspired by locations in Half-Life: Alyx.” The game’s Steam page also mentions that if you Pre-Order by March 2nd you can get alternate gun skins to use in-game as well as Half-Life: Alyx content in CS:GO. So make sure you pre-order the game before then if you want these ‘bonuses’.
For the folks who don’t know, Half-Life: ALyx is a new Half-Life game for VR that is set between the events of the first Half-Life and the second. The game supports many VR Headset’s, with compatibility being at its best with the Valve Index. If you own a Valve Index already, you should have received Half-Life: Alyx for free by now. Something else interesting that I didn’t realize is that the game will have Steam Workshop integration, which will be amazing and makes me want a PCVR Headset even more.
