PS Vita: TheFlow to soon work on h-encore 2.0

Today, PS Vita hacker TheFlow announced that he will soon start working on improvements for his popular hack h-encore. H-encore is a full control (a.k.a kernel) exploit for the PS Vita, that works up to the latest firmware, 3.68 (see here for details).
Specifically, with h-encore 2.0, TheFlow intends to bring the following improvements:
- Faster launch of Henkaku (this will be achieved by not running the bootstrap menu by default)
- Option to fix trophies in the bootstrap menu
- Improving the reliability of the exploit. The hacker says that currently it fails about 20% of the time, which is not a huge problems but means relaunching the hack multiple times for the people who run into issues.
Knowing TheFlow, there are chance he won’t stop to only these features, and add a few more things here and there for the community. Let’s stay tuned.
Additionally, according to the hacker, h-encore is still downloaded more than 1000 times each day, a nice stat for a tool that’s “already” 2 months old!

Can someone explain why it’s worth getting over henkaku? Is it just the ability to play newer vita games?
It is henkaku, just wrapped in a better, offline exploit. There’s honestly no reason NOT to use it.
Thanks! I’ll upgrade to it then
no coldboot is a pretty huge reason not to use it
If you’re launching an exploit every boot, yes. If you already have coldboot (Enso) then there is no reason to use H-encore. So it depends on where you’re coming from.
I’m on 3.60 henkaku with enso I think…
I used h-encore to install Enso on stock 3.65. If on 3.65 or lower don’t upgrade to 3.67+ as you can’t use Enso then.
theflow’s “soon” means really soon.
That seems to be the case lately. When he said July 1st of this year I nearly lost my mind.
It would be great to reduce the total size of the h-encore occupied by the size of the demo
It can already be trimmed down up to 15mb.
it can be trimmed down with Psvimgtools easy frontend up to 13mb
Could get a 5mb version
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_MSQf0uh4Y dude the tutorial is right here kek
Got a 5mb version
I was hoping TheFlow start hacking nintendo switch too
Switch already hacked though
But it’s dongle is bloody expensive. Maybe someone skillful like TheFlow could provide open source software-based exploit tools for switch.
I honestly had no idea that h-encore even had a fail rate, every time I boot it up on my 3.68 PS TV it works every single time.
Personally, it’s only failed twice for me, I really doubt that the success rate is 80%, I’d say it’s 95% or higher.
Same for me. Only failed once since day one.
I’ve lauched it multiple hundreds of times, and I never saw it fail once. I handed it to my nephew thinking it was 100% launch rate. I hope it doesn’t fail for him, because I don’t know what he would do (he probably doesn’t know to hold the power button for 30 seconds to bring up the psvita menu thing
The last part only makes me think if Bo Burnham! “I don’t know how to use quotation marks correctly!”
It should be “old”, not “already”.
anyone knew 3.69 henkaku date
