ZeldaOLB port for PSVita released
Rinnegatamante strikes again! This time with a port of a fan-made Zelda game sequel called Zelda: Oni Link Begins. The PSVita seems to have become a good console for Zelda lovers as it already has another Zelda port (called ZeldaROTH) and you may play a whole slew of Zelda games on emulators.
What’s ZeldaOLB?
The full name of it is “Zelda: Oni Link Begins” and it’s a fan-made sequel to “Zelda: Return of the Hylian” (which was ported by usineur; it was a GekiHEN entry). This port also has multi-lingual support as English, French, Italian and Spanish are supported. In a nutshell, the story follows Link after defeating the Dark Lord which has made him develop into a sinister creature. Now, Link goes to princess Zelda which leads him into a portal to a secret world. The graphics of this game are relatively SNES-like which make it great for the lovers of older Zelda games! You may also have multiple game slots to play in if you ever need to use them. When in the game, you can press the L Trigger + Square to view the controls.
How do I get it?
As always, getting the game is pretty simple. The easiest way is to get it off VHBB (Vita Homebrew Browser Browser) which is tied to VitaDB. If you can’t do that, you can head to the link below to download it. Rinnegatamante asks you to report any issues to him, especially translation issues, with a screenshot (press PS+Start to take one). Special thanks is given to ‘nop90’ who did the 3DS port of the game which served as a base for the PSVita port.
