Phlipple and L’Abbaye des Morts ports for PSP released
Yes, the releases in the title are about 2 months old but they’ve went under the radar. While most of us are interested about the PSVita’s hacking scene, it’s not too hard to forget that the PSP’s hacking scene is still somewhat alive.
What’s Phlipple?
Phlipple is a 3D puzzle game that’s been ported to the PSP by developer ‘bomblik’. The developer is more well known for his BlockOut II port for the Vita and GNU Robbo ports, both of which were GekiHEN contest entries. The goal of this game is to reduce a 3D shape to a single square by flipping around the edges of the shape. It’s a relatively interesting concept that you should check out if you wish to try out something new.
What’s L’Abbaye des Morts?
This is a port of a game by the Spaniard ‘Locomalito’ to the PSP by /talk user ‘HCF’ (no, it’s got nothing to do with math). L’Abbaye des Morts is a 2D platformer with chiptune music and a high difficulty level as you can’t save but you have to play it in ONE sitting. Good luck doing that but it should be fun for a while 😉
How do I get them?
Simply follow the links below and download the archives and extract them to ms0:/PSP/GAME or the directory you use for your homebrews (it may be different if you use a plugin for sorting homebrew). These pieces of homebrew should work on all PSPs with CFW and of course, you may play them on your PSVita with Adrenaline or ARK.

…
Thank you for the article, Wololo. Looking forward to future updates.
PSP has such an awesome library, so many games that I never got around to playing, also I wish there is a portable console that can play PS2 games, maybe one day…
You’re doing it on purpose don’t you?
He claims that he’s thanking the site as a whole when he says “Thank you for the article, Wololo.” Really, it would be much simpler and less confusing if he took 2 seconds to check who wrote the specific article he just read and thank them specifically, but I doubt he’s going to change at this point. He’s just one of those guys.
ffffffffffffffffffff let the men be.
tl;dr he’s just trying hard to annoy people
So, yeah, he’s annoying as heck…
Thank you for the comment, Aurora. Looking forward to more updates.
Finally, the right comment!
First
Touhou Genso Wanderer has furigana, this is the 3rd game I have discovered on Vita that you can read without knowing Kanji, the other two are Danball Senki W and Time Travelers. PS Vita screen is so lovely, I wish 3DS screen was as sharp.
Maybe the Switch will give you what you’re looking for. After all, there was significant hacking progress done on it not long after release.
