Numpty Physics released for PSVita
Yet another port by the infamous developer Rinnegatamante. This homebrew originated on the PSP by developer ‘rock88’ and was later ported to Rejuvenate by ‘meetpatty’. As anybody who has not been living under a rock knows, Rejuvinate binaries aren’t directly compatible with HENkaku but they can be made to run with some work.
What’s Numpty Physics?
The game is a drawing puzzle game in which you have to come up with creative solutions and witness them in real-time (which is the whole point of Physics-based games). Numpty Physics is based on the style of the Box2D engine.
Currently, the game is a 1:1 port from the Rejuvinate port but that won’t be the case for long. Rinnegatamante plans to add various features such as:
- Background music playback
- Touch support
This port also contains some bug fixes over the original game. Controls are pretty simple and they’re clearly described in the link below. While this game may seem a tad odd at first, Physics games tend to be mildly amusing and good to play for a short amount of time in my opinion 😉 Just don’t overdo it or else it’ll become boring!
How to get it?
This game requires you to download seperate data files so installation is a little different. Firstly, you have to download the VPK and then get the data files. After that, copy the VPK to your Vita, extract the data files (which should be in a folder called ‘Numpty Physics’) and put them in ux0:data; after that simply install the VPK. This homebrew is also available vis VitaDB thus you can install it via Vita Homebrew Browser directly. Make sure you report any issues in a civil fashion to Rinnegatamante on the GitHub page or Wololo Post linked below!

Aurora is waifu.
Then Wololo is senapi and The zett is onii Chan?
LOL
first
No you aren’t Bunnymod posted over an hour before you. Posting “first” is pointless and stupid af anyway.
Thank you for the article, Wololo.
Why did you call Rinnegatamante infamous?
Thank you for the article, Wololo. Looking forward to future updates.
Infamous Rinnegatamante should invest his time in something more useful to me, I will have no more crappy flash games ported here, console is crappy as is with flash games official releases.
See to it that this does not happen again.
Aurora wrote this not wololo. If you’re gonna give credit do it right.
No you are wrong, Wololo is the website, I thank Wololo, what are you blind.
Dude you clearly thanked wololo for the article in the first statement “Thank you for the article, Wololo.” If that’s not what you meant to do then you need to work on your grammar or something so your messages get across more clearly. Also if I was blind I wouldn’t have called you out in the first place because I’d be unable to see your mistake.
What a sad existence you are, is this your life? going around correcting people on the internet?
I am thanking the website as a whole you idiot.
That’s why you specifically said “Thank you for the article, Wololo.” This isn’t the first time you’ve made this mistake on articles written by Aurora. Calling you out for your mistakes and telling you how you can correct them doesn’t make me an idiot. You making those mistakes and trying to deny it to attempt to not look like a complete fool, which backfires incase you didn’t know, does.
This is the other article also written by Aurora where you made the same exact mistake crediting Wololo in the 7th comment. http://wololo.net/2017/04/10/vita-homebrew-browser-vhbb-0-8-released-various-improvements/
Thank you for the article, Wololo
you must be a pretty slow learner to make the same exact mistake at least twice and not learn from it after being called out on it both times
Vita homenrew browser crashes everytime i try to install this from that app
Use The Homebrew browser instead
I did use the homebrew browser and that’s what keeps crashing. This isn’t the only one the homebrew browser was crashing with either. There was a few newer ones the homebrew browser was crashing with too.
The joke was than you made a typo 😛
I know and that was still stupid of them
The error code says “An error has occurred in the following application. (C2-12828-1)” resetting the db and all other troubleshooting things did nothing to fix it. I’m running version 0.8
This is a known issue: https://github.com/devnoname120/vhbb/issues/12
I’ll try to fix it when I can, I’m busy right now.
This is fixed in version 0.81: https://github.com/devnoname120/vhbb/releases
Thanks. 🙂 I wasn’t entirely sure if it was just me or not.
If it doesn’t have the feature already you should include a way to update it from within itself.
There https://github.com/devnoname120/vhbb/issues/5
Also it would be super rad to include a plugin tab. Ideally it would download it to the proper folder and update the config.txt
And there https://github.com/devnoname120/vhbb/issues/2
