VITAident updated to v0.5, adds battery information and improved detection
First and foremost I’d like to apologize for my disappearance over the past weeks, but I got parts for a brand new PC and have been occupied with setting it up and wrestling the transportation companies who can’t do their job right. With that out of the way, let’s get to what matters here: the release.
Developer Joel16 is back with a brand new version of our favorite know-all homebrew for the PS Vita, VITAident. This new version improves detection of PS Vita model details, uses fself compression introduced in the taiHEN framework Beta 7 update and adds a few more bells and whistles to make everything prettier, like allowing you to change the color of the text.
What is VITAident?

Original:
- More accurate model detection for PTEL and PDEL models.
- Includes fself compression. (Please switch to Taihen)
- Displays values in their respectful colored category (example red star = red values, just like 3DSident)
- Detects whether the model supports 3G/WiFi.
- Display battery charging status.
- Now uses any key to exit the app (just like 3DSident)
GUI:
- Includes all of the above except doesn’t use any key to exit.
- Added a minimal customization option to change the font color. (please update your ux0:/data/VID000016 folder)
If you’re deciding to use the GUI version isntead, please download the VID000016.zip, and copy the folder VID000016 into your Vita’s ux0:/data/

To download the latest version of VITAident just head on over to Joel16’s GitHub and download whichever version you prefer. Remember that if you’re going to use the GUI version, you need to also download this file. In any case you can download the non-GUI version here and the GUI version here.
