OCDM for 3DS, export your Mario Maker courses!
You might have noticed as of late that we’re trying to show a little more love for the 3DS and this is another step towards that goal. OCDM stands for Online Course Database Manager and as the title of the article implies, it is a tool for exporting your custom Mario Maker courses.
This tool also allows you to export these saves so you can use them on the Wii version of Mario Maker. This is an initial version so its looks are still a bit rudimentary but 3DS developer MarcusD has a lot planned for the future of this application.
What is OCDM?
As stated earlier OCDM stands for Online Course Database Manager and it is an exporter for Mario Maker 3DS saved games. The tool currently allows you to convert these saved games into Wii U format so you can use them with that version of the game. Coming to the application soon are restoring of exported saved data and an online database. Planned features include conversion of Wii U saves into the 3DS format and a GUI.
Features
- export save data to SDCard
- convert 3DS saves to WiiU-compatible saves
Almost implemented features:
- restore saves from SDCard
- online course database manager
Planned features:
- probably WiiU->3DS save conversion
- GUI with thumbnails of the levels
Credits
Thanks to smb123w64gb for the savedata conversion to Wii U
Download OCDM
To download the initial version of OCDM, all you need to do is go to the release thread over at GBATemp. If you’d rather get the download directly just click here. Keep in mind that to run this you need to have the Homebrew Launcher since it is a 3dsx file. To give the developer feedback or post any bug reports you may have, remember to do so in the release thread.

Awesome work! Unfortunate that people have to find a way to share levels when it should have been a feature in the game.
I would have thought that would be on of the features now, wouldn’t you? Silly Nintendo.
Such a shame that Nintendo didn’t allow 3DS users to upload levels….however, I have been having fun playing other peoples levels. Since I also have the Wii U version of the game, i’ll save my creating levels for the Wii U…..just enjoy the game on the go with the 3DS…you’d think a game that relies so heavily on community, wouldn’t have the upload ability removed on the 3DS….Maybe Nintendo is worried about traffic…FAR more 3DS owners than Wii U owners
Fans have an obligation to elaborate the dirty work for a function that may have been at launch….
What a opprobrium Nintendo!
The dev of this was suspended from GBAtemp, meaning that development was halted. There will be no searching for online levels. Rip
