SwitchKaku 1.03 released, stability relating to mail.db improved
Developer luck is back with another update to his seemingly popular fork of the HENkaku offline installer, SwitchKaku. If you remember, the last update to this homebrew application added an option to reset the mail.db file to fix some errors that users were having with it. This latest update seems to once more tackle stuff related the same file along with allowing for a totally offline first-time installation. The developer also states that there were “other minor fixes” which one has to assume are all related to the StabilityTM of SwitchKaku.
What is SwitchKaku?
SwitchKaku is an extended version of the offline HENkaku installer created by xyz. It has been modified by developer luck to act as a sort of HENkaku manager, which allows you to install and update both versions of the exploit and switch between them on-the-fly.
Changelog for v1.03
- Add a new option to do a first install completely offline (from switchkaku data folder)
- Improve the reset email option: it will now create an empty mail.db (no need to open and close the email app)
- Less mail.db errors
- Other minor changes
