REminiscence Vita 0.3.2 – Play Flashback on your Vita.

What is REminiscence?
As I said in the intro, REminiscence is an open-source implementation of the classic PC game Flashback. It is a Metroidvania-style 2D platformer made back in 1992 and was released on a ton of platforms including PC, SNES, 3DO and Sega Genesis. The game was remade in 2013 by the original designer, but was really badly received by critics, etching the original game’s place as a cult classic that everyone should at least try once. REminiscence was also available on the PSP via homebrew, but you can now enjoy a much superior version.

How to Install REminiscence:
Install the vpk file in your Vita
Put the original data files in the folder ux0:app/SOMO00001/DATA
Original files can be downloaded in several sites, for example:

Download REminiscence Vita 0.3.2:
To download and use REminiscence all you have to do is go to the developer’s GitHub and grab the vpk file from there. As usual if you have bug reports to do, I urge you to do so via GitHub’s issue tracker system or the release thread on GBATemp.
Another great release for us homebrewers and if this keeps up it finally looks like the need for PSPemu is going to become a distant memory of the past.

Vita homebrew is really starting to get interesting.
Good job. I still prefer to play it via an Amiga emulator for the unequalled music and sounds, but that’s great anyway.
It don’t works for me! It exits to PS Vita OS automatically after the execution..

Vitashell flags this as unsafe homebrew, any chance of a release that doesn’t require the additional access?
This is very likely to be done, as it would only require data to be stored in ux0:data instead of ux0:app/SOMO00001/DATA

prior to writing. I have had a hard time clearing my thoughts
in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the
first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints?
