Nice, I just do not get how to make it work.
I have VitaShell 0.8 from HENkaku and then if I install VitaShell 0.85, though I have VitaShell folder but the custom theme shows only in VitaShell 0.8 from HENkaku and not in the standalone app. Do I do something wrong? How to change the battery icon for example?
    Thanks

To update HENKaku to VitaShell 0.85, you have to install the latest VitaShell from above. Then go into VitaShell and navigate to the ux0:app/VITASHELL folder. Now scroll down to the eboot.bin and hit /\ (Triangle) and select “Copy” and hit X or O (based on button setup). A dialog will come up saying the file has been copied with a corrisponding button push to say “ok”. Navigate back one folder, which will put you at ux0:app and then proceed to selecting the MLCL00001 folder, (should be at the top of the list) and once inside the folder hit /\ again and push X or O on the highlighted “Paste” option. Finally hit the PS button and close Vitashell. Now when you open the MoleculeShell bubble it will display VitaShell 0.85. As far as themes, you will need to get the VitaShellCustomization.rar from TheFlow’s github above and create your own based off of the default and then make sure to place it in ux0:Vitashell/theme/ via FTP or by any other means you are comfortable with. Just make sure to follow the same folder structure (ie ux0:VitaShell/theme/NewTheme) or use a theme from the two contributors below and do the same as mentioned before. To get the theme to show up, on a computer or any other device where you can edit .txt files you will need to open the file called theme.txt contained in the folder previously mentioned and change what’s in quotations to the name of the theme you want to use. Once that is done, (if somehow done on the vita itself then you’re done, open MoleculeShell and enjoy an updated themed interface) FTP into the Vita and copy the modified theme.txt to ux0:VitaShell/theme push the PS button and close VitaShell or MoleculeShell whichever you chose to use to do the FTP and open MoleculeShell and enjoy an updated themed interface!!

I see…so in short, what we need to do is:

        1.) Install Vitashell.vpk (ver 0.85) first
2.) Load up the latest vitashell and go to Folder ux0:app/VITASHELL and copy eboot.bin
3.) Go back one folder and enter folder MLCL00001 and paste eboot.bin
4.) Close Vitashell and open Moleculeshell
5.) Notice Vitashell in Moleculeshell is now updated to ver.0.85

        Does that sum everything up?

        • Sylntnyt says:

Correct, and if you feel like it you can delete the VitaShell bubble afterward

            Hi Sylntnyt,
How do you delete Vitashell Bubble?

          • Sylntnyt says:

To delete a bubble on the live menu, you can either use the analog or directional pad to highlight the bubble you wish to delete and press /\ or you can hold your finger on the bubble you wish to delete (either of these will put you into edit mode) Once in edit mode you will see a smaller bubble with three dots overlapping the bubble you are wanting to delete. If you used the the first method to get to edit mode, you will see your bubble is still highlighted, just press /\ to open the menu of the smaller bubble, scroll down to “Delete” and press X or O. A confirmation dialog will pop up, highlight “OK” and press X or O. Once deleted you can exit edit mode by pressing X or O. Lastly if you used the long press method to get to edit mode, all of the actions are the same except you just have to touch each one, and to exit edit mode, you will touch the “Back Button” in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

Well it did this to me too. I have two VitaShell. One inside Henkaku on 0.8 and one from a bubble on 0.85 lol

      • Sylntnyt says:

Yes, installing the VPK from TheFloW’s github will install his standalone VitaShell, not update the HENkaku one. My tutorial is how to manually update HENkaku’s MolecularShell and theme it. After following the directions I provided, HENkaku’ MolecularShell will be updated to 0.85 and will survive offline installs, web installs, and possibly personal server installs if your Vita happens to get rebooted. If for some unknown reason you delete the MolecularShell bubble, you would have to do the process all over again since HENkaku is not yet updated to VitaShell 0.85. Also once you’ve finished manually updating MolecularShell, you can delete the VitaShell bubble.

How can o make a translation? I would like to translate to brazillian portuguese, if there arent already one

    • Sylntnyt says:

On TheFlow’s github it states that VitaShell loads the appropriate .txt file from ux0:VitaShell/language based on the Vita’s system language. So provided VitaShell 0.85 has added support for Brazillian Portuguese would be the determining factor. Anywho, if your desired language is supported all that would need to be done is edit the english_us.txt file located in ux0:Vitashell/language to the desired language and then save the file with the specific name that VitaShell will look for based on the coding, and place that file in to ux0:VitaShell/language/ but I belive there is already a file with the translation you are desireing on github via xy2iii or Dragoon1010
