Uncharted 4 is the highest rated game of this generation, according to Metacritic
Uncharted 4 is currently rated at an average of 94 out of 100 on aggregated reviews site Metacritic. WCCF Tech report that this makes Uncharted 4 the highest rated game of this generation, based on their research.
I’m a huge fan of the franchise, and it’s great for me to hear that Naughty Dog deliver once again. I was afraid the studio would take the easy way out with what could be the very last game of the franchise, but apparently they’ve worked hard 🙂 . If the game ends up grabbing me emotionally the same way The Last Of Us did, then bring it on!
The numbers computed by WCCF Tech do not include remasters from the previous generation, such as The Last Of Us Remastered (95 out of 100) or GTA V (97 out of 100). WCCF Tech also mention that the highest rated game on XBox One is Metal Gear Solid V at 95%, however they say “it’s misleading as that’s only considering 10 reviews while the vast majority (86) have been conducted on PlayStation 4, where the game holds a 93 average”
On Amazon, at the time of this writing, the game gets a 4.3 out of 5 rating, with a very small amount of review (this should increase dramatically over the week).
Uncharted 4 retails at $59.99. Prime Members on Amazon can get it for $47.99 for a limited time, as part of their prime video game benefit (20% off pre-orders and new releases). If you’re not Amazon Prime, antOnline, a trusted seller on eBay, have Uncharted 4 for $49.99 on preorders.

Metal Gear Solid 5 has a 95 on Xbox One.
i will buy it . you can sure about that
I’ve preordered it, was hoping it would arrive today a day early in the mail lol
You can only take metacritic at it’s face value so far. Platform specific magazines always give first party games the golden treatment, and with so many paid off/incentivised publishers you really can’t trust them too far. Not saying it’s a bad game, but it’s far from perfect. And then there’s the matters of personal taste and such, while many genres are fairly universal, I think I’m not alone in my dislike of the ‘games trying to be movies’, especially ones that replace gameplay with QTEs.
QTE?
Have any reviews discussed the game getting a huge graphical downgrade? Or is that just expected from Naughty Dog now?
there was no graphical downgrade, the comparisons that was about was explained by naughty dog
“Here are just a couple of things about those comparison shots.
1.Time of day is different in both. – Our first trailer is at night, moonlight. Our gameplay demo is early morning. So the moonlight is slightly over exaggerated to give more contrast to give it that night feeling but enough light so you can see whats going on. Dawn is not a time of day where you have a lot of contrast.
2. His face is so spec-y [editor’s note: specular] in the first image! – Have you seen the trailer? He literally just gets up out of water so his face/chest/shirt are wet and have a high sheen. Bottom one he is not wet so of course he looks dry.”
.PKG ? 😀
So how did they come up with those scores when multiplayer was NOT even activated at that time ?.
Very odd.
Anyone know if there is a required firmware update on the Disc? I have the game, but don’t wanna open it if i need to update. I am on 3.15 now and don’t wanna go any further in hopes of a CFW 🙂
Pretty much all PS4 disc games have a minimum firmware on the disc and you can’t play without updating. The minimum firmware depends on when the discs were mastered.
I know, i am wondering what the minimum firmware for the game is. Anything over 3.15 and ill wait to see how the scene progresses.
Considering that 3.15 was released back in Jan, Uncharted almost certainly uses something newer.
no, it uses 3.15, already playing
